Programming keys or coding keys are fancy terms for adding a new key to your car. Most vehicles after 2005 are equipped with an immobilizer anti-theft system, and are paired with transponder chip car keys to disengage the immobilizer system. In short, the immobilizer disables the engine from starting without the proper key with the proper code transmitted by the chip inside the transponder key.
QLP Locksmith recommends repairing your current ignition if it is in a repairable condition. A QLP Locksmith technician will assess if the ignition can be rebuilt or if it needs to be replaced. Re-building an ignition lock is typically much cheaper than replacing it with a new one, and it works just the same as the new one because it has brand new parts on the inside.

Me and my significant other searched high and low for our car keys like blood hounds to a fox y'all. We called up QLP Locksmith and have been working with Dan for the last day or so. He's been amazing, super chill, excellent communication and showed up super quick to help out. Found out we wouldn't be able to get the key code until Monday and we were beyond distraught about not having a car (first world problems right). Low and behold, the keys were in the pocket I had violently emptied out numerous times. Dan is still the man tho!!!

Yup.. locked myself out of my house. Idan showed up in less than 15 min and opened my door. One thing I'm impressed with and never thought about it, he needed proof that it's my house, which makes complete sense. Since my ID has a different address, I had to show him something else with my name and address. Love the security aspect.

Honestly, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I called ahead to get an estimate for the job and was quoted a reasonable price. When the technician arrived he wanted MORE THAN DOUBLE - saying that my locks were too complicated for the price I had been quoted (ps they are nothing fancy - from HD). I told him this was false advertising - if I had been quoted the actual price, I would never have agreed to have him come out. He tried to bargain with me, but I honestly have no desire to do business with a dishonest company. I already had a quote from another company that was

I happen to lock my keys out of my car and when I called for assistance they were willing to help quickly. I appreciated how friendly and kind they were and they help me get back on my way. Best Prices and Service around! Al knows what he's doing. He came to me and set up a new car key while I was working. I'm a delivery driver and he did it between my deliveries and he did it so quick that he was waiting for me to come out to him rather then the other way around. It was such a low price compared to the other places I called. Definitely will come back if I need keys made for my cars or any locksmith service.

Best prices in the area for programming today's chipped ignition keys and car remotes. $110.00/set!!! I was quoted as much as $250. In less than an hour Alan cut/programmed two keys and programmed two remotes for a total of $220. I bought the keys/remotes online(do your homework and buy the right ones for your vehicle) for a fraction of what the dealer would have charged and saved several hundred $$$ more using QLP to program/cut them.
