Blue Heron Landscape Design
Scott Hokunson, principal Blue Heron Landscape Design, started in the Horticultural Industry in 1981, working for a small wholesale nursery and landscape company in the Farmington Valley. In 1985 he struck out on his own as Hokunson Landscape & Design, designing, installing, and maintaining landscapes.

In 1998 Scott's accepted an offer to work in the building industry, which eventually led to a position with a kitchen and bath design/build company. Scott maintained contact with the Horticultural world by attending yearly seminars, trade shows and occasionally designing and installing gardens, and in the summer of 2006, he returned to his roots to create Blue Heron Landscape Design.
Services
A beautiful garden or landscape is born of a simple idea and brought to life through thoughtful design and talented craftsmanship. At Blue Heron Landscape Design, our focus is bringing ideas to life. Working closely with each of our clients, we create gardens that welcome and landscapes that inspire.
The creation of a unique landscape begins with a design that draws inspiration from existing architecture and sense of place. By balancing these elements with the client's needs and wants, and by using building practices respectful of our natural environment, we create landscapes and gardens that inspire the senses and provide welcoming areas for entertainment, relaxation, and reflection.
We have worked with many clients throughout Connecticut over the years and we're looking forward to working with you, too. Please enjoy this sampling of our work, and when you're ready to transform your surroundings, give us a call and discover how Blue Heron Landscape Design can help you create something special.
Thank you for your interest in Blue Heron Landscape Design and congratulations on your decision to make landscape improvements to your property! If you like, you can also give us a call. I would like to receive e-mail from Blue Heron Landscapes (We respect your privacy and will not share your email with anyone).

Called Scott to come out and look at our backyard, which he did and provided some great ideas. Said he would provide us with a proposal in a couple of weeks. That was about 6 weeks ago. My attempts to call and email him regarding the proposal have not been returned. If this guy doesn't want my business, that's fine with me but at least have the decency to tell me that personally and not just ignore my phone calls. I have money to spend and I will definitely be taking it somewhere else.
