We opened EoSD Family Martial Arts in 2012 to bring authentic ninja skills to Western Kentucky. Since then, our little community has grown and spread beyond the Hopkinsville area. Our journey has taken us all over the United States to bring the best of the best home to our dojo and teach it directly to you.

Our training goes so far beyond just the physical and includes the mental and emotional effects of self-defense and martial arts. Ms. Billie and Mr. Dusty have been so good with my girls. EOSD is a very family-friendly place. We felt very welcomed from Day 1. Watching the smaller kids kick Mr. Dusty or flip him, thinking they are big stuff does wonders for their self-esteem!

We are a modern Martial Arts school teaching a self-defense curriculum and one of only a few schools that teaches ninjutsu. In fact, we are the ONLY school in all of Kentucky that teaches under the guidance of Black Belt Hall of Fame Member Stephen K. Hayes! Our goal is to assist you and everyone that joins our martial arts family to excel and become a successful person in life.
In our Ninja Kids class, children have fun while gaining confidence, body awareness, and basic self-defense skills. Along the way, these students "learn how to learn" by developing group interaction skill, self-discipline, focus and respect for others. Through an abundance of praise, encouragement and positive reinforcement, Ninja Kids are taught avoidance skills in a safe, fun, non-competitive and high energy environment!.
Taijutsu is a Japanese blanket term for any combat skill, technique or system of martial art using body movements that are described as an empty-hand combat skill or system. Our Taijutsu classes are a blend on striking (Daken Taijutsu), Throwing (Nage Waza), Joint Locks (Ju-taijutsu), Ground Fighting (Ne Waza), and simple hand weapons such as knife or baton.
Kenjutsu is the umbrella term for all (ko-budo) schools of Japanese swordsmanship, in particular those that predate the Meiji Restoration. Some modern styles of kendo and iaido that were established in the 20th century also included modern forms of kenjutsu in their curriculum. Kenjutsu, which originated with the samurai class of feudal Japan, means "methods, techniques, and the art of the Japanese sword".

There is something for every age and every type of learner at EOSD. There's always a different class or event to attend, and the owners put their heart and souls into helping their dojo family and community. Hopkinsville is lucky to have this place!

Amazing business. Always positive. My kids love it and they are trained in an in depth and amazing way. They get on every level and teach on every level. This is truly a place where the whole family can go, feel included and grow at. We love the Dusty and Billie and their dedication to teaching our children.

I have known Dustin since I first started training To Shin Do back in 2009. Him and his wife are awesome instructors who take the time needed to help their students understand the fundamentals as well as the advanced students as well. Their school is conveniently located. Whether you are young, old, a beginner or an advanced student I highly recommend giving them a visit. It will be well worth your time.
