Services
Five Star Orthodontic Lab and supply has been servicing the Orthodontic community for over 30 years! Five Star uses an assembly line approach to appliance fabrication. Each tech is specialized in one or more departments and each appliance is QC'd after each step of the fabrication process. This provides for a much more consistent, quality appliance.

If sending impressions, please make sure it was taken with Kromopan, Tropicalgin or PVS and wrap them in a wet paper towel (to minimize the chance of shrinkage) before packing into the shipping box.
The MiniScope is our most popular Herbst appliance. The telescoping mechanism will not disengage like a traditional Herbst, greatly reducing the number of emergency appointments. Using the AppleCore Screw with the MiniScope allows for unrestricted lateral movement and unparalleled patient comfort; reduced breakage allows for an improved chewing cycle compared to traditional Herbst appliances.
The EMA Custom appliance is a simple, patient-friendly oral appliance created for noninvasive treatment of snoring and OSA. The primary treatment mechanism of opening the bite and gently moving the mandible forward is achieved with the use of interchangeable elastic straps that offer varying degrees of mandibular advancement.
The Myofunctional Bead is used to train the tongue to swallow in a correct pattern. The patient is instructed to spin the bead with the posterior aspect of the tongue. This exercise teaches the tongue to squeeze against the roof of the mouth instead of pushing forward against the teeth. A tongue thrust seriously inhibits the clinician from completing orthodontic treatment.
