Really nice bead store. Small but packed with stuff and while most of the beads are available only on strand, there are still lots of options to buy individual things too. Good selection of tools and findings. I really liked their freshwater pearl selection. The first time I visited, I felt like one of the staff was kind of hovering and it was awkward but the other times I've been there I didn't get that feeling so maybe they were just trying to be extra helpful. Beautiful swarovski crystals as well as Czech glass. Also nice natural stones and crystals. A little off the beaten path

A beautiful bead shop with all the bead making essentials! Very happy with my shopping experience at Beads of Paradise. A very friendly women helped me right away, walked me through some questions I had and helped me find what I needed. I was incredibly thankful for the time she spent to help me out. I will definitely be back soon!

The only difficulty with this great store is that the hours are not posted, at the store or on-line, so you have to do a "drive-by" to see if she's there. Now I have her card, and the hours are W-Sat 11-6.
Sylvia has everything for jewelry making - or remaking, in my case. You can just buy the supplies, or she will do the work for you. I am very pleased with the results - some antique beads turned into a beautiful and wearable necklace.

I come here bc it's the only findings shop locally but also bc I adore the owner. She is very knowledgeable & reserved but if you're not annoying she also happens to be hilarious. She's no-nonsense so don't go to waste her time. Ask her about her secret turquoise stash, she got some beautiful cabs in the back that took my breath away.

The location is great, close to the 101 and Target. There are 4 rooms of beads! I really liked the ladies working there, including the owner. Obviously, they need to make a living, even if they are doing what they love.
It was my pleasure to pay for a beading class. They were extremely patient and kind with a beginner like me. I will return many times!

Amazing, unique collection of beads including an impressive semi precious stone collection. Go and see for yourself, wish I would have know about the this place years ago! Understand they have been there quite a while, 9-14 years? Don't remember what owner said. Made some big circular abalone shell earrings that always I get compliments on, and brought shells here! Will be a return customer.

I have been to many bead stores up and down California and i can say that its worth it to visit Beads of Paradise. If you are looking for quality then this is your store. If you are into beautiful natural crystals then check this place out. The owner, Sylvia, is very knowledgeable and can answer all of your questions.

The owner definitely has a chip on her shoulder and I've had to really try to work with this. She seems to be trying to turn her ship around though so I give her the benefit of the doubt as often as I can. She really REALLY needs to work on her attitude though.
It's almost as if she doesn't actually want to help you, it's so weird.
Anyway, I still shop here. Ill continue to do so as long as she doesn't cross the line. I can handle a

Owner has way too much negative energy. I've tried to get past this many times, but it's hard. I TRY HARD not to shop here, but in an emergency, I will. Early in my beading journey, I asked the owner what MATERIALS I needed to buy in order to make a specific project. She scolded me and told me that I was asking her HOW to make something and that I NEEDED to take a class from her. I explained that I wanted to BUY supplies and didn't want to take a class. Then fast forward a few months later when I came in she started drilling me on what technique I use and how I do it!!!!!!

This shop is wonderful, and not just for the wide selection of semi-precious stones, various jewelry-making supplies, and incredibly informative classes they offer. This store's biggest asset, and what makes it truly special, is the lovely, experienced, and talented ladies who work there.
My fiancé and I have been shopping here for a couple of years, and never once have we felt put out by the store owner or any of her employees. Quite the contrary, they have always welcomed us with open arms, and have been a plethora of information for beginning and experienced jewelry makers alike.

My wife and I signed up for a metallic clay course last weekend. The owner, Sylvia, conducted the course, which was great. All preparations were in place before we and the other attendees arrived, and we got started right on time. Staff made us all feel at home with our favorite coffee tea or chai latte.
The course was comprehensive, and as we left, our items went into the kiln, for retrieval at a later date.
Very pleasant experience.
The shop is very well stocked - great selection!
