Childhood flies by at the speed of light. Two blinks and your child has gone from baby to toddler to teenager. Working as a team, we'll create portraits of those expressions that you know and love. We've got our ways to charm a smile out of even the shyest child and can wrangle even the most active youngster!
When photographing Seniors, we create several styles of portraits, Classic, Illustrative and Pictorial. Classic Portraits are thoughtfully posed; lighting and location well thought out. Expressions can be smiling or serious. The senior is almost always looking at the camera. We don't like that mechanical, forced smile any better than you do! Children are taught to cheese it up for the camera and it's a hard habit to shake.

I put my complete trust in Burton Photography for my daughter's Senior Year Portrait Session this year. She met with Bonnie and Jonathan, and together the three of them put together their vision for a beautifully unique session that they were all excited about. The results were breathtaking and captured my daughter's personality perfectly! Bonnie and Jonathan also guided us as we created gorgeous and very personal album gifts for our family, and canvas prints for our home. The entire experience was so enjoyable, and such a wonderful memory for us!

When our family decided we wanted a photo memory of our vacation time in Blowing Rock, we researched thoroughly and chose the Burton photographers, Bonnie and Jonathan. We love Burton Photography! We have so enjoyed working with Jonathan and Bonnie for portraits of each of our boys. We did 3 first year sessions for our first son, and have now began the process for our second as we recently did his newborn pictures, and I cannot imagine using anyone else. Not only have we had such a fun time during the process, but they have created some beautiful works of art for us (despite even a fussy newborn!) that we will forever treasure!

Our family had the pleasure of meeting Bonnie and Jonathan Burton three years ago when they photographed our oldest for his senior portraits. We had such a positive experience with them with our son that we couldn't wait for them to photograph our daughter. Burton Photography is simply incredible. Jonathan and Bonnie are incredibly easy to work with and their portraits are simply stunning. They have the ability to create truly timeless images. We had the pleasure of having them create our engagement pictures, my bridal portrait and photograph our wedding. Their pictures are truly priceless. Having the digital images is always very nice but there is something special about having a hand crafted portrait that can bring so much joy. They were extremely professional but better yet, they were very personable and quickly become our impromptu wedding planning guides. We met Jonathan and Bonnie Burton for the first time on our wedding day as we were unable to make it to NC beforehand. They were absolutely fantastic to work with, and were probably the biggest reason that our day went so smoothly. They kept us on schedule, gave us options for pictures, and gave many suggestions on how to make pictures that we wanted even better than expected. The Burton's were amicable and obviously love what they do, they make a great team and kept the whole picture process enjoyable for us, which makes this one of the few sessions that I have actually enjoyed being part of.
