We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We offer a full spectrum of medical and surgical services and utilize a wide range of in-house advanced diagnostics. From digital x-ray and ultra-sound technologies, an in-house hematology and biochemistry lab, and cutting edge regenerative medicine capabilities, we strive to deliver top-notch care to our patients.
At Bishop Veterinary Hospital, you can expect state of the art medical care for your four-legged companions. We believe in nurturing the human-animal bond and creating a harmonious relationship between people and animals. You can expect to be greeted by a courteous receptionist, clean exam rooms, friendly doctors, and caring technicians.
We are a mixed-animal practice operating offices in 4 communities throughout our region: Mammoth Lakes, CA, Bishop, CA, Ridgecrest, CA and Tonopah, NV. We treat 65% small animal patients, 30% equine and 5% ruminants/exotics in our vast practice area. As a rural clinic, we also offer emergency service on-call 365 days per year.

Dr. Runley is an absolute gem! She was so patient and understanding of my foster dog’s hearing and visual impairments. After my experience with taking my foster dog there, I am switching vets and will start taking my own dog there. There’s something to be said about good doctors! Be it for humans or our pets!

I don’t have the words to express my gratitude to Dr. Ludwig and Dr. Figueroa and Jessica. I was in and out of the ER vet more times than I would like to admit and sadly, my sweet 14-year-old pup went to heaven. As a medical doctor, I was so impressed by the medical knowledge, treatment plan and bedside manner. They treated her and I with the… utmost respect and compassion. Their prices are reasonable which allows pet owners to be able to properly care for their pets. I feel beyond confident and grateful that they can care for my younger dog and any other furry companions I bring into

Amazing and friendly staff! They took amazing care of our fur baby Shakira. Well worth the drive if you can't wait for the clinic to come to Ridgecrest. Thank you so much for the care and love you showed… Shakira! She is on recovery day 1 post surgery and doing amazing. 💜 She had dental work, mass removal and spay all the same day. After calling every veterinarian in Ridgecrest, Bishop Veterinary Hospital was the only one willing to see our sick puppy right away. Within 20 minutes they had diagnosed him with Parvo and given him fluids for… the drive to Bishop. After dropping him off in Bishop the doctors updated us twice a day as to how he was doing. After four days Gus was strong enough to come home. We are beyond happy with the care they provided our little fur baby.
