Really an amazing place.. landscaping is wonderful, atmosphere is great, old time aesthetic of the house and 'barns' are really amazjng. Music carries really well in the designated area where musicians can perform.. not to mention random majestic birds (peacocks) just strut around and add to the ambience while you enjoy the place.
I'd love to see the place at night, all 'lit up'.
Alot of work has been done and you can tell the maintenance of the grounds is taken seriously.

Hands down the most perfect venue I could have every asked for! Bryon (the owner) is outstanding and went over and beyond to ensure our day was perfect! Everything about the venue is sooo beautiful and taken very good care of! The cabin is beautiful inside too, and it has the cutest bridal suite to get ready in!

We needed to evacuate from our area due to Hurricane Florence, and needed enough space to accomodate up to 7 adults, 1 child, and 2 pets. Finding accomodations to suit these needs at the last minute was a tall order. We found The Cabin at Old Spur on VRBO and booked it. The owner was very helpful and responsvie to all needs. The cabin is beautiful! It is rustic, yet charming, and has some great features:
- a pretty little pond with a small beach, fish for catching, and a little dock
- a small gun range, perfect for "plinking" (BYO targets)
- vast acreage, which made for a quiet, private experience

We had our wedding here in June, and I would give it ten stars if I could! The owner was so easy to work with, and the venue was BEAUTIFUL. I could not have asked for better. The ceremony spot is great, and the reception area is nice. We had a good breeze the entire time, and there is more than enough space to move the wedding under the covered ceremony spot in the case of rain. It's so beautiful that it would still be a beautiful wedding! The bridal suite is great and there is plenty of space in the cabin for the entire wedding party. The Cabin at Old Spur is a beautiful wedding venue. The venue is located down a tree covered driveway that opens up to a secret hideaway. The 2 story cabin has 3 bedrooms to accommodate either the ladies to prepare for the wedding or for the guys to hang out and enjoy the day. The wrap around porch over looks an amazing pond with a white sandy beach. In front of the pond would be a beautiful location to have a ceremony. The property also has a shooting range at the back of the property for the fellows to shoot skeet. I have photographed at this location several times and it is just breathe taking
