C & K Air and Heating Inc. was established in 1974 at a kitchen table in Memphis Tennessee by two men, Don Caskey and Sam Kirk. They serviced mostly apartment complexes until one year later when Don Caskey decided to get out of the business and Sam Kirk bought him out. Sam decided to concentrate on taking care of single family dwellings and took a great deal of pride in offering quality service with an unparalleled commitment to the customer.
He built his business based on word of mouth and hired others who shared his philosophy on customer service. In the 90's, Sam acquired the company that gave him his first job in the HVAC field, Controlled Air Inc.

I've been using C&K Air and Heating for over 6 years now and happy that they are my go to company. When I bought this house over 7 years ago, the existing package unit was over 18 years old and was constantly going out. The appliance warranty that came with the house purchase had someone coming out every week fixing something. When I asked to have it replaced, I was told as long as parts were available they would continue to replace it. That was not going to work for me after I spent a week without heat. I just purchased a hone they had installed the HVAC in. When I had a problem over the later part of the weekend (the condensate pump went out), they got me scheduled for first thing Monday morning since they are closed Sunday. They told me it would be around 8:30. At about 8:15 I got a call that they were on the way. They were at my house by the promised time. They immediately diagnosed the problem and had the system repaired by 10:15 and they even had to leave and go get the part. These people are great! They came out and thoroughly checked at our house HVAC system after we moved in and had a problem. They tried to resolve it without replacing the unit, but in the end, still had to do that.
We took bids on the service work and they were competitive with the other companies. However, we found them to be the most professional, informative, and responsive.
We just had them out for the semi annual maintenance/cleaning. Again they were professional, timely, efficient , and explained everything they were doing. No unnecessary add-ons or sale pushes.
