There were a high number of overflows from constructed and uncontrolled points in the network, and the catchment was forecast to grow by over 30% population. WCS was able to model a range of containment standards and then a range of interventions to give us a robust plan for developing the network over the next 20 years to meet community expectations.

On both projects, WCS did high-quality technical work and brought innovative solutions to enable our client to determine the best long-term wet weather management plan for their most complicated basins. Our projects teams worked closely together and functioned as one true team.
The speed of the analysis was impressive and the return on investment was excellent. Once the optimization was set up, additional scenarios were evaluated quickly, such as determining the impact of increasing the level of service on the total capital cost. And optimization was especially powerful when evaluating multiple I/I reduction assumptions in each basin, for which there were literally thousands of possible combinations.
