In 2003 Shaun McGookin graduated King's College with a degree in business administration. He moved to Rhode Island where he worked as a Scuba-diving Instructor as well as on-water in-water construction. After about a year and a half, Shaun moved back to his hometown of Chatham NJ. He started working at a local handyman company where he quickly learned his way up the ladder.
Shaun worked with a pair of companies over the next few years where he continued to hone his skills. Shaun partnered up with a different local company in 2008 and despite the economy being bad the company was busy with a good year's worth of work. After mutually splitting ways Shaun decided in 2009 to open McGookin Remodeling LLC.
