Ammon Nursery was founded in the spring of 1950 by Dick and Shirley Ammon. Dick sold landscaping door-to-door during the post-war boom years in the Florence area. The first nursery and garden store was located where the Florence Mall stands today and consisted of $50.00 worth of shrubs and a 15-year-old pick up truck. The Ammon organization has grown into three major areas.

We explained what we wanted to Dave in very general way and he took that and drew up a unique and creative landscape design. I love the detail that went into the stone and gravel colors that tie everything into our house. These guys had a lot of challenges with the hill that our house sits on and Mother Nature but honestly they tackled it all with a positive attitude and got the job done. Kenny was our foreman and always took time to talk to me when I’d come out and check progress. Had our backyard project completed last fall and went back to Anthony at Ammon-Jones Landscape to finish the front yard this spring.
