Neurobehavioral Healthcare Center
We provide a variety of behavioral healthcare services, specializing in neuropsychological and psychological evaluation and therapy services for adolescents, adults and older adults, as well as education and therapy for individuals, caregivers, couples and families. One of our missions at NHC is to increase awareness of Alzheimer's Disease among our community and to improve treatment options for individuals and their families.

We offer a variety of testing and therapeutic services for individuals who suspect and/ or have been diagnosed with memory impairments. Below are other services we provide in the community. Memory Screenings: As part of the National Memory Screening Program, we provide free memory screenings (by appointment).
Services
D. is a licensed psychologist specialized in neuropsychological assessment and treatment who received his Master's and Doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Central Michigan University. He completed an internship in clinical neuropsychology and behavioral medicine at the Long Beach Veterans Administration Medical Center.
In your assessment you will receive a comprehensive picture of cognitive, emotional, and daily functioning. Our recommendations include ways to optimize your brain health, cognitive function, and quality of life. A neuropsychological evaluation can identify specific cognitive abilities, how severely those abilities have been impacted, and how changes in these abilities will affect day-to-day functioning.
The Neurobehavioral Healthcare Center offers a full range of psychotherapeutic services. We provide non-pharmacological interventions for a multitude of emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal problems. Our highly trained licensed psychologists provide the latest cutting edge, evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral treatments for a variety of common difficulties.
We have a caregiver support group for those who have loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The group meets weekly, for 12 weeks. See our flyer for more details. Cognitive rehabilitation refers to a wide range of treatments aimed at improving a persons's cognitive and functional abilities by retraining and/or teaching compensatory methods to enhance performance of lost or attenuated skills.

A wide range of neurological, psychological, and health conditions may cause difficulties in cognitive functioning, such as in brain injuries, mild cognitive impairment, parkinson's disease, multiple-sclerosis, diabetes, and depression.Cognitive difficulties vary and may include problems with attention, speed of thought, language, memory, and/or executive functioning such as problem-solving and decision-making.
