I was completely dissatisfied with Michael Collins. Not only did they file things incorrectly after they did they wouldn’t admit to it then they missed a court hearing tried to explain it was a good thing. then made an out-of-court settlement that I did not agree on which is totally unprofessional and will be making a report to the board. getting a hold of Michael was incredibly difficult only one
when there was an emergency and he wanted to reach me he would call and of course not put it in an email. They ended up paying my defendants $6000

I hired Ben Herren to represent me on a completely fabricated domestic abuse case my ex girlfriend was trying to use to screw with my child custody case. After showing Ben the evidence that I, in fact was the victim of domestic abuse and not the other way around, Ben spent $4000 of my hard earned dollars to go round and round with the judge and DA and got absolutely no where except stuck in the exact same situation only $4000 lighter in the pocket. Maui courts are the absolute most corrupt I’ve come across ever in my life, serious reform is needed there. My advice, don’t waste your money on

The epitome of everything people hate about attorneys. I especially had problems with Brianne, who told me she would take care of something and didn't, but didn't bother to inform me and then would not return my calls. Then blindsided me in a conference call with another attorney where she rudely informed me that she "changed her mind". Unbelievable unprofessionalism!!

I had been trying to contact this firm for my probate case, and they weren't even capable of scheduling an appointment. First contact I made, someone told me that one of the attorneys would contact me. Three days later I get a phone call telling me that I need to call a number to schedule an appointment. Called that number, and the person that answered said she is not the one who schedules appointments but she was going to have someone call me. Michael Collins was my attorney on a land dispute. Over a number of years he was systematically overbilling me. The over-billing totalled over $10k, When I accused him of it, on the phone, he actually admitted it, and I recorded it. David Cain ignored me several times when I reached out to him to discuss this matter. When he finally met with me, he refused to listen to my recording, and threatened me, saying that it was illegal to make that recording and he was calling the police and I would go to jail. It is very difficult to contact anyone besides the receptionist. They knew the law, but were ill prepared,; sometimes reviewing our case just before the hearing. Every email contact is a minimum of $15, regardless of the content. We got to the point where we would ask many questions at once, hoping to save some money. I thought we said something to offend them because they didn't return calls after judgment, but the receptionist said, "No, you are great clients. They will call by tomorrow.
