Old England Builders
Jake, his wife, and 3 children moved to eastern Colorado from England back in 2010, and haven't looked back. Colorado is a wonderful state and a beautiful place to raise children. Prior to emigrating, Jake and Heidi owned and managed a very successful scaffolding company in England for 7 years.

Jake has always been in the construction industry and wanted to extend his knowledge into making homes even more beautiful, by using his vision in design, to remodel and renovate. They are a dedicated couple who pride themselves on a great work ethic, great customer relationships and pride in the work.

Full basement finish in Brighton, CO. Project was to create a open recreation room, with a separate office space, storage space and a bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom, in a basement of 1000 sqft. The client requested a modern environment with an open feel. The brick component on the buttresses gave this basement the requested modern feel, without closing in the space, giving it more of a New York loft feeling.
Project was to design and create a spacious but homely basement, using all of the 1800 sq ft available. The Client requested a large recreation room, bar, bedroom and en-suite, large office and restroom. Jake was able to use his creativity in hand-building an Oak bar and using reclaimed Pine to emphasize the buttresses.
The transformation of the kitchen in a house built in 1905 is nothing short of incredible. It's almost difficult to visual how it's the same space! Our client wanted to maintain the history of this home but give it a renewed life. The beautiful cabinetry, modern appliances and beautiful clean-look granite counter top makes for an amazing remodel.
The Design element of Old England Builders can bring your color scheme to life and give it a fresh, contemporary feel. Old England Builders are used to varying shapes & sizes of basements & homes, and usually the plumbing that is done by the house builders isn't always conducive to your remodel plans.
Old England Builders saw the potential in this dilapidated property that had been left out in the harsh Colorado weather for 2 years. The house is located 10,000 ft up in the Colorado mountains, where the harsh weather took it's toll on the property. The log beams were extremely weathered due to the harsh winds, heavy snow and Spring rains.

Old England Builders did a great job on our deck last fall. Jake helped so much from the very beginning planning stages when we weren't even sure what we wanted. He was very knowledgeable and had some great ideas for our space. He always showed up when he said he would and got the work done in a timely manner. Our deck is beautiful and very well-made. We would definitely use Old England Builders again.

I've worked with Old England Builders on three pretty significant renovations in a multi-phase restoration/upgrade project. The house was a 1900's Denver square that had been converted to an office building. We've been working to restore it back into a high-end residence. We've rewired almost the entire house, moved plumbing, removed asbestos, and upgraded the spaces in a modern contemporary style that stayed loyal to the historical foundation of the residence.
Given Jake's experience in England and with older historic houses he was a natural fit and his tradesman-ship is unsurpassed. Both my designer

Loved the work Old England Builders did to our living room and sunroom. Jake is by far the best contractor we've ever worked with and we will continue to use Old England Builders for all of our future home improvement needs. He researched prices to stay in our budget, helped elaborate on our vision, worked diligently and with so much refinement on details. Coordinates and oversees other contractors connected to the job. Simply the best and packed with VALUE from start to finish!
