Designed to eliminate common failure problems associated with splines and keyed shaft attachments, the General Polygon System is a proven superior method for making demanding mechanical connections that are stronger, more precise and have a substantially longer service life. These high precision profiles provide connections that have perfect symmetry and concentricity.
General Polygon Systems designs custom polygon applications for a variety of industries. Our polygon applications have had great success being used as hub connections, keyways, grinding applications, gears, couplings, splines and more. General Polygon Systems has six Fortuna Polygon grinders. We welcome an opportunity to work with you on a solution to your coupling and sliding problems with the use of the Polygon System.
Both of these polygon profiles are available in most materials and in shaft sizes with starting diameters from j" to 8" and up to 102" in length. P3 profile has a three sided configuration. This polygon profile is used in cases where the female profile of the polygonal connection must be ground, and also for tapered profiles.
