Services
The Student Training Manual will be of assistance as you begin your training at AKT Combatives Academy. The manual contains the AKT Student Creed, the AKT Pledge, instructions on how to tie your belt and care for your uniform/gi, as well as information on AKT Combatives-Jujitsu, dojo etiquette, and general guidelines that will aid you in your training.
AKT Combatives-Jujitsu is a reality-based martial art that includes aspects of stand-up striking, grappling/ground fighting, throws and takedowns, and weapons fighting and defense for the ring or for real world self-defense. AKT Instructors encourage students to strive for excellence while training at their fitness and experience level.
This Exciting class is open to all active Teen/Adult AKT Combatives-Jujitsu practitioners from all Academies. The AKTion Sabre classes are designed to be an extension of the Impact and Edged Weapon portions of the regular AKT Combatives-Jujitsu curriculum. The sparring component of this class also incorporates the kicking, striking, and grappling portions of your skillset.
Our philosophy at AKT Combatives Academy is to develop well-rounded martial artists and confident individuals with a global vision. By exposing our students to a variety of training outside our core curriculum, for example stunt fighting for film, we are able to expand their skillset, their mindset, their community, and their opportunities.

My daughter participates in the kid class. I can not say enough wonderful things about the teachers, program and philosophy of AKT. The teachers are aware of each child's needs and personality. This program provides discipline and focus. Hard work is expected at an appropriate kid level. AKT is helping me raise a hard working, committed and respectful child. Thank you for all you do...I am seeing confidence and thoughtfulness in my kid in school too!

I can not recommend this place. I've had my children going for several weeks and have come to the conclusion that it's not for kids. It's basically a glorified gymnastics class. There's just not enough teachers for more refined instructions. Way to many children in a class. 3 months of watching my child do crab walks and front rolls was enough to say the instructors need better training....

I can not say enough good things about AKT Combative and ALL of their instructors! This is an amazing family oriented environment where you and your kids can go to learn self-defense, self discipline/motivation. To better yourself all around. Both of my girls LOVE this class and have went from shy, trusting little girls, to confident, capable and alert little ladies :) I can't Thank AKT enough!

I started training in Martial Arts 36 years ago studing several systems. AKT Combatives has taken my skill set and mind set to whole new level. I added to my stand-up striking skills grappling ground fighting throws, takedowns and weapons defense. The reality based personal protection taught at AKT Combatives Academy easily sets itself apart from what you get from traditional martial arts. Students become an intellectual martial artist with the utmost focus on ethics, respect and responsibility, not just punchers and kickers. And by the way, we produce Jujitsu World Champions. We have So much fun

I have been going to AKT for almost 2 and a half years, and I absolutely love it! The first time I showed up I was so nervous, I would hardly do anything, but everyone was so nice and friendly, that I got comfortable very quickly. I would not give up what I have with all the people there for the world. Everyone is family there! The training that is provided is the best! I was so timid and not confident at all, within a month I was so different (in a great way)! I started going there to learn self-defense for college, I can definitely say I'm confident to go to college now! I love it!
