Marcio runs a very high level Jiu Jitsu academy. One of the cleanest most professional gyms I have ever attended. The instruction is really world class. There are many gyms that offer Jiu Jitsu but one day at this academy and you will notice the difference.

My son has been training with Marcio for 8 years now and I can not praise him and the jiu jitsu family he has created enough. My son was 8 when he started snd is now 16 so we have gone through kids, teens and now adult classes and it does not matter where you are the training and personal attention to help your child be a better athlete is second to none. The family atmosphere he has created really makes you feel welcome from day one. My son went from a shy child to a confident and humble teenager. Everyone treats my son as if he was their own. If your looking for a gym to get in shape Xcel is the place to go! Xcel is one big family that will make you feel welcomed. One thing this gym has over any other gyms in the area is that the instructor is a World Campion, travels to other states and counties to train and competes at all the high level competitions. The instructor truly shows what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is all about. He shows his passion for it and wants to help everyone succeed their goals.

I live in Baltimore but have trained at Xcel BJJ several times now while visiting family in the area. It has become something that I really look forward to on these trips. Great group of people! They have always made me feel welcome. The instruction is top notch and the facility itself immaculate. I would train here every day if I could. Highly recommend!

I have been a part of the Xcel family since the beginning. Best way to describe Xcel is Professional, from the coaching staff down to the athletes. Although I haven't been able to be there as much as I use to be its awesome to see how much everybody improves as athletes. Xcel is not only a great place to learn Jiu Jitsu but its a great place to develop friendships. If you want the best get to Xcel you wont be disappointed.

Xcel BJJ is hands down one of the best up and coming BJJ gyms in the area. Just look at their competition photos on the website. I started training there day one when they opened and I haven't regretted it for a sec. You get more than training at Xcel you gain friendships and bonds. Its like a big family and they welcome new people with arms wide open. Coaching is top notch and competition tested frequently. A little secret if you want to go check it out for a day the coach will put it on the house. You will be hooked though so be prepared! I challenge you to Xcel your game!!

Been going here for about 7 months, and I can honestly say that coming here is what I look forward to everyday. Everyone there is very happy and motivated to be there, and you really can't ask for better training partners. With Marcio Silva as the head instructor you really do end up getting the best quality BJJ you could ask for. The school is always clean, professional, and very reasonably priced for the quality Jiu Jitsu he and his staff provides. He is also very good at coaching the kids and I have personally brought my 8 year old brother. My little brother can't wait to start now and glad
