Growing Room opens the door to a secure, quality, fun and nurturing educational environment based on a balanced partnership with parents. At Growing Room, our goal each day is to provide an enriching environment with nurturing teachers using a planned developmentally appropriate curriculum for Infants 6 weeks of age through Preschool age 4.

Services
Owners, Johnny and Catherine Lee, were born and raised here in Tallahassee and have been life long residents. They live with their three daughters and truly love calling Tallahassee home. As parents highly involved in their children's growth and development, Catherine and Johnny became very interested in opportunities and venues which would offer them a quality experience.
I can't say enough good things about Growing Room! You're always greeted with a smile and a hello the moment you step in the doors. When I come to pick up my child at the end of the day, she always has a HUGE smile on her face and raves about her fun day. I love knowing how much fun my children have during the day and how much love their teachers and the administration show them while they are in their care.
Lisa Owens grew up in the Tampa Bay Area and has been in Tallahassee since 1999. Lisa is a graduate of Tallahassee Community College and has been working in childcare since 2008. In her spare time, Lisa loves spending time with her family, watching her daughter play softball, enjoying all FSU sporting events, running, 4-wheeling and hunting!
Renee Carlson was born and raised in Tallahassee. She started working in childcare in 2006. Renee holds a Masters Degree in Special Education from Florida State University and a Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders from Florida State University. Renee enjoys spending time with her husband and her four children, running, biking, reading, hiking and camping.
Our "Growing Up on Our Block" language-based curriculum is an award winning approach that has been perfected over the past 25 years on over 10,000 children. Each age group including infants has an age-appropriate curriculum that involves letters, colors, >and concepts wrapped into a weekly theme that relates to "Growing Up on Our Block."

Absolutely phenomenal - insofar as other services in Tallahassee, nothing can hold a candle to the manner in which this organization facilitates the development of young minds.
The Growing Room Metropolitan is not a daycare - it is a Development Center.

2 years at the Growing Room. 2 years I sat back silent while my son's school that I paid a very pretty penny for.. undermined me as his mother, judged me, harassed me, excluded me, and mocked me. What finally made me speak up? When I received a copy of his 2019-2020 enrollment form that had his father's name was forged by a member of his family. That family member walked in, requested it, filled it out, and gave it back to them. I was there hours before hand when I dropped off my son.. never even got informed that I needed it signed and turned in, not only that but they were completely fine with

My son has attended Growing Room for 3 years and we have had nothing but amazing experiences with this facility. Ms. Renee and the entire staff have been nothing but kind and caring towards my entire family and I appreciate that they keep in touch with us whenever there are issues involving my son. My son has loved all of his teachers and truly enjoys going to this school. We love Growing Room!

Growing Room is the only place I would put my children. My oldest has been here since she was 16 months and my youngest since 6 weeks. The things my children have learned during their time at Growing Room is amazing. My oldest is only 3 months into VPK and is already starting the beginning steps to being able to read. Growing Room makes you feel like family. They all know you by name when you walk in the door. The security measures they take for the children are like none other.
