It all began with a friendship and with an idea that Rich Goodman and Pat Pondok had about helping others realize their expansion and renovation dreams. Small retail projects for retail and religious organizations. Larger construction commissions from hospitals and universities. For Rich and Pat, every project would be an opportunity-and the start of an important relationship.

And then, on a Friday afternoon, the two received a call they were hoping not to get-a construction job for a local supermarket had been given to a competing firm. Discouraged, Rich took the rest of the day off and headed out to the park with his daughter. While the children played, Rich shared his news and disappointment with another father.
Services
We deliver high-quality, cost effective projects on schedule by employing and supporting motivated, flexible, and focused teams. As a company we are "Building Relationships through the Power of People" and will continue to remain fair and true to our employees, clients, vendors and partners. As a family business we recognize the power of community-the bonds that make us stronger in every aspect of our lives.
Pat has over 35 years of diversified construction experience in pre-construction, conceptual cost evaluation, hard bid estimating, and management of our historical cost data base. As Target's Secretary/Treasurer, his responsibilities are broad and include the management of the estimating department, review and procurement of contracts, subcontractor networking, and the ongoing monitoring of our subcontractor/vendor data base system.
Like the best of families, we reach beyond ourselves and into our communities, where we offer significant financial support to charitable organizations, fundraising efforts, and sponsorship activities.

Our partnerships include the American Institute of Architects, the Building Office Managers Association, the Carpenters and Joiners of Philadelphia and Vicinity, Drexel University Construction Management Academic Council, Healthcare Facility Managers of Delaware Valley, International Council of Shopping Centers, International Facility Management Association, Nucor Pre-engineered Buildings, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Widener University Speaker Series, and Lean Construction Institute.
Target Building Construction is seeking a MEP Coordinator, an engineer whose overriding purpose is to ensure that the building functions according to plan. Ability to study plans and processes to help the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems confirm to expectations. Staying on top of rapidly changing engineering possibilities so that projects incorporate the best and most enduring systems.
To help us keep pace with the construction challenges of our time, we've used Building Information Modeling (BIM), a trademarked model-based program designed to facilitate more efficient planning, design, building, and building management, since 2014.

Our BIM capacity is now so entrenched that we've established a comprehensive BIM process that focuses on providing owners with a true three-dimensional, as-built model complete with facilities management data-while also ensuring that Target remains utterly current as the technology itself evolves.
