Services
PARKER Engineering assisted the City of Millen in obtaining CDBG grant funding to alleviate the flooding concerns of the Community House Neighborhood. This Community House Neighborhood had the worst drainage problem in the City of Millen due to a poorly designed and undersized piping system. A new storm piping network was installed, as well as drainage inlets in the low areas to provide relief for the residents.
PARKER Engineering provided the design and bidding documents for the construction of 3000 linear feet of road improvements for the Town of Hiltonia. New Hiltonia Subdivision was a mobile home subdivision created in the 1990s. The subdivision lacked a drainage system leaving residents with rivers of water that traveled down the center of the dirt roads during rains.
PARKER Engineering provided the design and bidding documents for the rehabilitation of 4559 LF of sewer main in the City of Sylvania. Video reports of the existing clay sewer mains revealed cracking and deterioration that provided entry points for roots. The residents of this neighborhood were being troubled with sewer stoppage, slow-flushing toilets, and sewage surfacing due to the roots and the aging infrastructure.
PARKER Engineering provided the design for a 5,500 linear foot sidewalk on Gentilly Road in Statesboro, GA. The project is part of the city's master plan to connect Georgia Southern University with the primary residential area of Statesboro. The sidewalk provides safe access for college students to walk from home to school.
PARKER Engineering provided the design and bidding documents for the construction of an 8-inch well for the City of Hagan. In 2009, The City of Hagan lost its primary well due to a deteriorating well casing which left the City with only one well. Parker Engineering assisted the City in applying for an Immediate Threat and Danger -CDBG grant to provide funds for replacing the primary well.
