Services
Hello, I'm Cindy Harcourt and I opened Harcourt Counseling Services over 25 years ago so I could meet and help people just like you! I am a licensed clinical social worker, but often people call me their therapist or counselor. I offer a safe, non-judgmental place for you and I to work through your life struggles.
We provide individual and family counseling for all age levels, starting at age three. If you are experiencing an issue that is not included below, please call us so we can discuss whether we have a therapist who treats that particular issue. With a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, we are here to help you decrease your symptoms and achieve personal growth.
Individual Therapy: You don't have to face life's difficulties alone. We will help you with self-acceptance, self-growth and healing from the struggles you are facing. Individual therapy is a joint process between you and your therapist to inspire the change you want in your life. You may be working through a painful trauma, grieving a difficult loss, trying to overcome numerous life obstacles, or just wanting to improve your quality of life.
Family Therapy: In family therapy we treat the family as a whole. Your therapist will decide whether sessions will be with each family member individually, as a whole family unit or a mixture of both. We will discuss the your family history, communication patterns and issues that might be preventing your family from functioning its best.
Children love to play and so do we! You may be wondering, "How can playing be therapeutic?" Through play, children explore their world, use up excess energy, calm themselves, express their emotions, and develop social skills. When we observe your child playing it will tell us a lot about him or her, which is one of the primary reasons play therapy is a valuable diagnostic and therapeutic tool.
