When it comes to paying employees, laws and the IRS have made the payroll function a time consuming nightmare for the small business owner. Small business owners spend an average of eight hours a month performing payroll functions. Preparing your own payroll tax return can be a task that leaves you with more questions than answers. Whether we like it or not, today's tax laws are so complicated that filing a relatively simple return can be confusing. It is just too easy to overlook deductions and credits to which you are entitled.
Washington's business and occupation (B&O) tax is the second largest tax source for the state. In Fiscal Year, 2008, B&O tax collections totaled over $2.8 billion, representing over 16 percent of the taxes deposited into the state general fund. Previously, Washington retailers collected local sales tax based on the jurisdiction from which a product was shipped or delivered - the "origin" of the sale.

I have worked with Jen for for a few years now and and she is a key part of my business. I cannot speak highly enough of the work that she and Olga do to help me succeed. I offer them with the highest recommendation. Olga specifically has been invaluable as my workforce shifts and changes. I know at times I don't make it easy on her yet she never complains.

Jennifer and her team are knowledgeable, proficient, and easy to work with. Come tax time every year, I'm extremely grateful having hired Small Business Booking. Everything from top to bottom was easy and efficient. The scheduling system is very easy to navigate and selecting appointment times was efficient. I just had an initial consultation which was done over the phone. Within 5 minutes of talking to Jennifer (she didn't realize this) most of my anxiety with my business records was solved.
I tend to get caught up stressing details, so when Jenn simplified everything- it was beyond helpful. Communication of prices and expectations were

I was paying a full time in house book keeper and had to make some cost saving decisions and so looked for a cost efficient professional solution. After interviewing a number of companies as options I settled on Jen and her team.

She is extremely inefficient with time, which result in invoices larger than you'll pay your CPA. If you need to speak with her on the phone regarding the errors she makes, you'll get billed for a short phone call. If correspondence is important to you, be prepared to leave multiple voicemails and emails before getting a response. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for bookkeeping services. There are plenty others that are much more cost and work efficient that value a good small business-to-business relationship.
