Unbelievable. 9:00 appointment for a complimentary system update required by Subaru. Told it would take 1.5 hours when I made the appointment. Arrived at 8:55 and checked in. At 9:25 my “service representative” comes and finds me and wants to “confirm what I am having done because my car is out of warranty.” I show him my letter from Subaru. He says he needs to make a copy of the letter. And by the way, the service will take 3 hours. The one that hasn’t yet commenced. Riverside Subaru, this is why I quit bringing my car to you for service.

When I leased my 2018 outback touring I would have recommended Riverside. Everyone was nice and helpful. Since trading in the 18 and purchasing the 2021 touring xt that is having chronic problems with the infotainment system I no longer feel the same way. Bill started off being helpful but when the problems continued he has since been to busy to return a call. It’s been since 11/23 that he told me he was to slammed. He did send my a text offering me $1,000 towards a new one if I opted to trade this one in. $1,000 when I have nearly $10,000 invested in a car I have owned less then a year.

Hate to do this as this is out of character for me, but the service department of Riverside Subaru "provides", by a mile, the worst customer service of ANY company I have ever dealt with. Ever. In any industry. I'll leave it at that. Avoid.
Full disclosure, Alan and Bill in sales were outstanding...in sharp, polar-opposite contrast to the service department.
Edit: It took a bad Google review to prompt a callback from the service manager 16 minutes later, after having not had a callback from 6 left messages over the past 9 days trying to set up a recall/maintenance appointment.

I am very pleased with how Chris Beaman handled everything from my initial inquiry about Subaru's I was interested in to picking up my Subaru Forester this past weekend. Chris greeted me about a month ago at the door of Riverside, I was already pretty stressed about trying to find a car due to the current unconventional times we are in.
