After a thorough evaluation by the therapist, a personalized program will be developed to address your specific needs. You always have the freedom to choose your own physical therapist. Although the physician may refer you to the physical therapy facility in which the physician is employed or has a financial interest, you are entitled to seek treatment from the physical therapist of your choice.

If you are experiencing pain - whether from neck or back conditions, fibromyalgia or muscle strains- the staff of First Choice Physical Therapy may use such modalities as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, TENS, traction or iontophoresis to help alleviate your pain. The therapists at First Choice Physical Therapy believe it is important every client has the tools to maintain their health after therapy.
Cynthia Kihle, DPT - Cynthia, partner, has been providing physical therapy services for 31 years. Her specialties include orthopedics, manual therapy and treatment of low back and neck pain. Reed Argent, MPT - Reed, partner, has been providing physical therapy services for 25 years. His specialties include orthopedics, manual therapy, sports medicine and occupational medicine including ergonomic assessments and post offer screens.
North Dakota is a direct access state which means you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. Many insurance companies do not require a physician referral for physical therapy; however, some companies such as Medicare still require a physician referral. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota does not require a physician referral.

Our staff is certified to perform post offer physicals through CHS, Worksteps, Worksavers, Atlas Ergonomics, and Advanced Ergonomics.
Workforce Safety & Insurance (WSI) provides exclusive coverage of the state's workers compensation insurance. WSI services approximately 20,000 employers and has approximately 40,000 claims each year. Of these claims it is estimated that as many as 35% of these injuries can be associated with poor ergonomics in the workplace.
