In 1998, Bernard (BJ) Seal, Jr. opened his first restaurant in downtown Corpus Christi, Texas. BJ owned and operated Bernard's Delicatessen serving thousands of meals to many of you. His passion for delicious food and "service with a smile" attitude will always be remembered by all who knew him. BJ was a self taught chef who loved food and people; a perfect combination for a successful career in the restaurant and catering business.

I recently was in search of a catering company to furnish a variety of food for my son’s college graduation party, and I found Benard’s and made the call. The first conversation was easy and the next
thing I knew I had the menu, told him what I wanted, the budget I wanted to stay within and it was done! I spoke with him about 3 times and he understood and assured me he had it all under wrap. I called him the morning of the event and he was there that evening as promised!! I couldn’t of ask for better service, professionalism, and superb tasting food!!! My guest, family, and friends LOVED

Went in for lunch today with some gal pals and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was! We ordered the tortilla soup as an appetizer which had an explosion of flavor! Then got the lunch… special which was chicken & beef fajitas with a cheese enchilada and a side of rice and beans...it came with a fresh homemade tortilla!!! Holy smokes the charro beans and rice were so yummy that I ordered another side of it. I mean that whole lunch plate didn’t stand a chance! Then they told me that the peach cobbler just came out of the oven so of course I said yes to a piece
