That pretty much sums up my life. I absolutely love everyone of those titles. When I'm not at home keeping things together or chasing down my kids, I'm photographing some of the best clients that have become great friends, very blessed. I am a wife to my high school sweet heart Matt since 2006, a mother to FOUR very high energy little boys, Weston, Waylon, Witton, and Wilton (Wes, Way, Wit, and Willie is what I usually call them).
The best way to begin is with the end in mind. The portrait process means starting with what you want for your end result. Where do you plan to display your portraits? What does your home design look like? What colors are you drawn to? How do you want to see the priceless images 5, 10, 20 years from now? Asking all these questions at the start gives you portraits that you have dreamed of and treasured prints that are worth it.
As the days go by as a mother I feel my kiddos growing all too quickly and I want to remember every stage. I want to remember their newborn wrinkly skin, squishy cheeks, their missing teeth, sometimes even seeing their true selves, good or bad, it's all part of who they are and who they are becoming.
Have you noticed how busy life is? Even when you try not to be busy, it still is! Before long our kids will be grown, out of the house and have families of their own. Or maybe they are already grown and you miss seeing their faces everyday. Their time at home is precious. It is important to enjoy time together as a family while your kids are still at home or even after they are grown and out on their own.
