Since 1970, Occasions Catering (formerly Occasions by Sandy) has reinvented catering in Denver with the belief that great food and service are just the beginning-it's all about creating occasions. From 10 to 10,000 guests, your event designer will customize each detail to be sure the event reflects your individual taste and vision.
After two decades working for elected officials and technology companies, Jeremy pursued his lifelong passion for food in 2008 - with a nudge from his wife to take the entrepreneurial plunge. A natural people person, Jeremy loves planning events, developing business partnerships, and managing a growing team.
The future is bright - pandemic numbers in Colorado are on the right track, the vaccines are rolling out faster than predicted, and the days when we can gather again as a community are within grasp! We're actively producing virtual events, and the O. at Home menu is still available subject to minimum order amounts.
Since the start of Denver's We Don't Waste program in 2009, Occasions has been a proud sponsor and partner, donating meals to vulnerable populations throughout the Denver community in an effort to fight hunger. Occasions' Owner Jeremy Bronson serves as President of the Board and has lead our team to donating over 3,600 meals to those in need in 2016, alone.

We loved working with Occasions for our wedding! Katie was our event planner and she is a rockstar. She was always responsive, helpful, gave us good ideas, and answered many questions and special requests. The food at the wedding was just as it was during our tasting, and all of the guests really enjoyed it. Instead of a wedding cake, we had a dessert buffet from Occasions and loved the variety of mini desserts too! Thank you again!

Occasions catered our daughter's wedding at Windy Point Campground on Lake Dillon. We wanted a meal that took into consideration allergies/gluten-free/dairy-free/vegetarian/etc. Katie Quinn worked with them to develop a meal that covered all the bases. They were even able to provide compostable tableware for the environmentalists! Everything was perfect. The food was absolutely fabulous! The staff was amazing and were quick to solve our problem when the decorations blew off the tables before the ceremony.

Most weddings I go to, the food is just something to get through. The food from Occasions, however, was not just “good food for a wedding,” but great food for anywhere. We had guests rave about the chili-rubbed flank steak, and the wild mushroom lasagna was a delicious and filling entree for the vegetarians in the house. Jay, the event captain, and his staff were attentive and friendly—they made sure everyone, but especially the bride and groom, had everything they needed. We really enjoyed working with them and would highly recommend.

My daughter and her husband chose occasions catering for their wedding September 2020. Unfortunately the reception party had to be postponed to august 14 2021 due to covid. Since it had been so long they asked for a second tasting to see if they wished to stick with the original menu. Occasions replied that they would need to pay for this. Ridiculous! Especially since they insisted on an additional $500 deposit in the middle of a pandemic.
They stayed with the original menu. When they went to the original tasting there was a beautiful table scape which they loved. No mention that all of this

Just had our wedding with Occasions as our catering company...OMG they were fantastic. Lynn is the amazing to work with and provided service with a wonderful attitude. The food was exactly what we discussed and everyone left happy and full. I only wish I could have taken more treats home.
100 recommend this place and 100 percent working with Lynn..she's a true joy and truly puts you first.
Also get the pretzel bites for a late night snack, you won't be disappointed.

We absolutely loved working with Occasions Catering! With COVID we had to push our original date and Occasions made it much less stressful to have to replan everything. They were so accommodating to different dietary restrictions for our guests, worked very efficiently day of, and the staff was so incredibly kind. The food was amazing, we still have people, now months later, that reference how great our wedding food was and how its the best they've ever had at a wedding! Couldn't recommend Occasions more!

My now-husband and I hired Occasions for our wedding. Katie, our event designer, is a total rockstar. Out of all the caterers we interviewed, Occasions by far was the best at taking our weird requests (a menu that reflected our international travels and fit our music festival theme) and turning it into a delicious menu that satisfied all of our guests, even those with special dietary needs. Occasions couldn't have been a more perfect caterer for our wedding. Katie was our contact throughout the planning process, which was quite a roller coaster during COVID-19. Katie and the team at Occasions were there for us every step of the way, which can not be said for some of our other originally-planned vendors. They were flexible & willing to work with us when we had to change our venue, alter our timeline, and reduce our guest count. It's hard to put into words how extremely disappointed I am with this company and the owner, Jeremy. Due to COVID 19 we had to cancel our destination wedding. They never purchased any of the food and never provided any services. They claim they are a small business and can't afford to do refunds and have "additional debt." He is offered us $0 refund back. After my husband posted a review he emailed saying he would offer us $1,000 back for deleting the review. Obviously, we did not accept his offer as we feel it's important that people know how they treat their clients!

Guests continue to tell us that our food was phenomenal, and our wedding was four months ago. Occasions was an excellent partner for our catering needs and the quality was well worth the price tag. What I loved most about Occasions is that they worked with us to design a wedding menu that we envisioned to complement with our big day. In fact, we did an autumnal barbeque spread of sorts! From our appetizers to dinner, every dish was absolute perfection and paired so well. Occasions put out a tip jar on our bar even though we were paying for everything and asked for it to be removed, which they did not do. They told us they'd make beautiful custom signs for our bar for the specialty cocktails but instead of the script on chalkboard we were promised we got laminated sheets of paper with our titles cut off. The bar tenders served drinks we specifically discussed not serving and poured

Occasions catered my wedding this weekend, and they did a phenomenal job! I got so many compliments on the food and how professional the staff were. They did an almost completely gluten-free menu (my mom has celiac, so that was important for me, and other guests mentioned how much they appreciated it). It was really well balanced, beautiful, and delicious-- several guests went back for seconds, including my dad, who's quite picky. Our event designer, Victoria, was super responsive throughout the planning process, and made things really easy for us.

My team and I could not be more pleased with the food and service of Occasions. We used Occasions for an anniversary party for our nonprofit, attended by 350 people and split between an indoor office space and outdoor tent. The staff moved between the two seamlessly, communicating with our event lead while also taking care of attendees. Everything was clean and in perfect shape. Such a huge fan! Occasions catered our wedding in October and created a beautiful custom Korean menu that our guests raved about and even got a "best wedding food I've ever had" comment from one of the guests. Occassions catered our 75 person wedding in May. They were able to work with our budget a develop a custom menu that fit within our southern comfort food theme. They were well organized and kept the even flowing. Afterwards, I hear from at least 20 different guests how AMAZING the food was. Our guest loved the build-your-own mac n' cheese bar, as well at the chicken and waffles. I would definitely hire Occasions again!

Occasions catered my wedding on 9/12/15 and from the first time we met Michelle and the team, we knew we were in good hands. They wowed us from day one - their food and customer service is unparalleled, and their prices are very fair. The wedding went off without a hitch and the guests were raving about the food, which was creative as well as delicious (sweet potato chip with pulled pork and sushi appetizers, peppercorn encrusted sirloin, chop house smashed potatoes - my fave, chicken stuffed with cornbread and drizzled in BBQ sauce) and they made an awesome watermelon margarita and manhattans

We hired Occasions based on their great food and initial customer service. Our wedding had 175 guests and the food costs was close to $10k. We were extremely disappointed with the level of service at the wedding due to the following:
1) the event coordinator did not attend even though she sent us a number of emails saying that she was excited for our wedding on Saturday. This led to numerous errors and chaos.
2) There was suppose to be 6 reserved tables, however no signs were placed on the tables which resulted in half of the immediate family sitting on a balcony away from the wedding. The

Our caterer was the real star at our wedding. Everyone was so impressed with the quality of the food, the hustle of the staff, and the over-all service that they provided. I was a hard sell on the cost of a catering company and paying for all of the services, but by the end of my experience with Occasions, I wish I had let them plan the entire thing. I wish I could give Occasions 6 stars! They were phenomenal. The food was incredible and the Occasions team was exceptional. Holly and Brandi were a dream team - they helped me plan the menu, coordinate the liquor, order the linens, and even set everything up! They were definitely my point people for getting everything done. They went above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for making my wedding the perfect weekend :)
