Dr. Judd grew up in Mesa, AZ. He has an undergrad degree from Brigham Young University, a Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and a Masters of Science in Dentistry from the University of Colorado. When he isn't working, you can find him mountain biking, backpacking, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
I am pleased to inform you I have recently merged my practice with Dr. R Thomas (Tom) Tipton. We will continue to be called Curtis Orthodontics. This change will bring you many exciting improvements and services. Be assured we will work closely with our patients to make the integration process over the next several months as smooth as possible.
No, it is not. Many of our patients are referred by their family dentist, yet many other patients take the initiative to schedule an examination themselves. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition.
Here at Curtis Orthodontics, we believe that everyone is entitled to a healthy and attractive smile regardless of their financial position. In order to help accomplish this, we offer a wide range of interest free financing options that will meet nearly any budget. We accept a variety of PPO plans and many of our treatments are covered by insurance.

I had the most horrible experience with Dr. Curtis directly. He messed up my Invisalign completely and blamed it on me. When I told him the composite wasn't what we agreed on in the consult he was patronizing, sarcastic and insulting.
He (and I quote) told me to "go back to LA" if I wanted it done right. He called my teeth ugly and horrible. I am a young female patient. I started crying in the chair. I lost my retainer. I made an appointment to see Dr. Curtis. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. I was offered an appointment for the same week and quoted a price. When I arrived, there was almost to wait. My tech and I talked about options. She scanned my teeth, which took about two minutes. Then I met Dr. Curtis who was incredibility knowledgeable. He walked me through the best options for me. I also really appreciated that because I said I wasn't interested in braces or cosmetic procedures, there was no attempt to upsell me. Exceptional customer service. Friendly and professional staff and doctor. Front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming. I was a patient of Dr Tipton's for much of my treatment (another great orthodontist), until he merged his practice with Curtis Orthodontics, and retired. I’m really pleased with the staff and Dr. Curtis. My previous orthodontist retired and I needed to replace my broken retainer. The process was quick and easy! They used this cool laser scanner instead of that yucky putty. Also, they used an in-house 3D printer so the turn around time was next day. How cool is that?!? Thanks for your promote service at your new Gilbert location.

Dr. Curtis is phenomenal so it only makes sense that his entire staff would be too. My daughter’s teeth and mouth presented some unique challenges but Dr. Curtis’ approach was unique and made just for her. He and his staff are kind, intelligent, quick and knowledgeable and answer any and all questions. Would highly recommend!

From my first appointment, the staff at Curtis Orthodontics have been professional and friendly with me. I felt so comfortable with Kaitlin. Recently I had the bonding of my permanent retainer fall off and the metal wire was cutting into my tongue making it very painful to eat. I had booked an appointment with another orthodontist who then tried to take xrays and schedule me with braces (which id already had). I called Curtis Orthodontics desperate for them to squeeze me in and they managed to fit me in the same day and were fantastic! I highly recommend Dr. Curtis and all of his staff.

I love going to the Orthodontist! Initially, I was terrified of having work done on my teeth, but after my first visit to Curtis Orthodontics all those fears went away. I'm very happy with the service and staff at Curtis Orthodontics. Each time I take my daughter in for an adjustment, we're greeted by Jessica's warm, friendly smile. Jessica welcomes us like we're family and always makes sure we know about the fun, extra events that the office puts on. Amanda is another staff member who goes the extra mile to ensure that our appointments are conveniently scheduled. The women who do the adjustments and Dr. Curtis are equally helpful and knowledgeable.

I love Dr. Curtis and all the staff is very friendly and they explain always how is everything going no matter how many times you ask. My children like the video games in the waiting room, all the contest they have every month and the rewards they get to follow the treatment and cleaning. The location is very convenient to us as it is just 3 min away from school.

Being new to Arizona I didn't have any local friends or family to recommend orthodontic care. Curtis Orthodontics happened to be located near my office so I researched reviews and it seemed like it may be one option to consider. I went in for a consult (also went to two other places) and was sold. I am currently 7 months into treatment and extremely pleased! The staff is so friendly and warm! Dr. Curtis office is the absolute best. The lovely ladies who run the office are always amazing and available to help out with every need. This office will exceed your expectations. I have been pleased with every aspect of the service since we started. One day my daughter and I were discussing what power chain color would look best with her homecoming dress (you know, real world problems :) Dr. Curtis overhead and chimed in and asked about the dress and gave some suggestions and then had his assistant sample different colors. It's the small details like this that shows they are willing to go above and beyond. I would highly recommend this office to anyone.

Curtis Orthodontics has worked with me regarding this issue. Of course I can't give them 5/5 because of the huge communication issue. We were trying several orthodontists to see where we would be the most comfortable, both with the office staff/doctors and also scheduling and location-wise. We tried this office because it was close and had good Yelp reviews.
I cannot remember the original phone experience except to say they were able to get us in as a new consult rather quickly and had convenient times. When we got there, just before school break, the office was nice and clean/neat and well-decorated for the upcoming holiday.

It's one thing to wait until you're in your mid-30's to want to make some crazy changes about yourself. You get kind of obsessed with aging gracefully. It's a whole 'nother situation of crazy when you decide to get Braces at 35+ ---- (insert mysterious music) dum dum dum... In comes what I call, the "mid mid-life crisis".
