We love to have fun while we bring your celebration to life. Skilled in hospitality, attention to detail, styling, and problem solving, you can relax knowing your event will be tended to from early morning set up, until the cake has been cut. You may even find us shaking what our mamas gave us while we tidy up before we depart.
Chloe Schmidt has been working with Gala Events and Weddings for over 2 years, first as an event assistant and now as a lead coordinator. She loves working hard to bring visions to life and watching the clients and guests enjoy what her team has created. Chloe believes in leading her life with compassion, authenticity, and courage, and she brings these values with her to face each new task.
Crystal Pepper has imagined and created fantastical events since she was around 7 years old. Crystal loves exploring magical ways to bring joy to people through wonderful events. When she isn't working, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and working on her 1966 Mustang. Crystal joined the Gala team in 2019, building and wearing a wheeled champagne skirt for her first event with Gala.
I love being able to bring people together and put together an event that (our clients) will share with each other and never forget. It's about creating moments that people will remember for the rest of their lives. My favorite moment is when we put the finishing touches on everything and the client sees the set up for the first time.
We plan events all over the Northern California Redwood Coast including Del Norte County, Humboldt County, Trinity County, and Mendocino. We are willing to travel, and have worked with couples throughout Northern California including Sonoma County, the Bay Area, Sacramento, and Lake Tahoe. We love working in both familiar and new venues, so call us today!

A hastily planned wedding event during a camping trip, no idea what we are doing and in steps Alegria... She made sure the details we wanted were respected and included, she helped us organize, kept things rolling smoothly and helped us put on a wonderful wedding in a beautiful place. My husband and I hired Alegria to perform our wedding elopement ceremony in Trinidad earlier this year at Patrick's Point Park. Having her involved made our day even more special and comfortable. She helped us design a ceremony that was directly aligned with our preferences and personality. We have a young son, and she helped to integrate him into our ceremony as well. Gala Wedding and Events is a fantastic service in the Humboldt Area that is very much worth looking into! If you are worried about price, I would like to mention that there is a very real value to Peace of Mind and that with Alegria, you won't be worried about your wedding day! We also went with her as our officiant and brought in an extra assistant, all of these selections were worth having for us, as we were both fairly busy and didn't know how to proceed!

I highly recommend Gala Events and Weddings! As mother of the bride, hiring Alegria made this wedding SO much easier on me than my other daughter's wedding a few years ago that I organized pretty much on my own. Alegria kept us on a schedule and handled so many details, came up with some wonderful, imaginative ideas and menus as well as serving choices, and she interacted with vendors and service people so I didn't have to. The best decision I made in my wedding planning was hiring Alegria from Gala Events. She played so many roles flawlessly- my coordinator, my therapist, my organizer, my officiant!
