We're happy to provide Petly to all our current clients who have an active email address at the practice. Your pet can benefit greatly from regular wellness examinations or checkups. Whether your pet is a youngster, a "senior citizen, " or any age in between, wellness examinations provide an excellent opportunity for us to conduct a thorough physical examination and develop a health profile for your pet.
Pets today can live longer, healthier lives than ever before-in part because of vaccines that help protect them from deadly infectious diseases. Over the years, vaccines against dangerous diseases have saved millions of pets and virtually eliminated some fatal diseases that were once common. Unfortunately, many infectious diseases still pose a significant threat to dogs and cats that are un-vaccinated.
Do you have a new puppy or kitten? Congratulations on this addition to your family! One of the first things you should do when you bring your new pet home is to introduce him or her to us - your veterinary care team. Puppy and kitten visits offer a unique opportunity to get you and your new pet off on the right foot!

Been seeing Dr. Dunn for years with my pug && I really like him. I've took my pug to other places but when we go he always hides under me or is shaking. For Dr. Dunn he will run to him jumping, spinning && gets so excited. Even with the techs...my baby gets so excited. He pretty much tells me he loves this place lol. Prices are reasonable also. Definitely recommend coming here!!!

I have been bring my dogs here for 11 1/2 yesrs now & have always been happy. But had a emergency on Wednesday February 10th call & was told to take her to the emergency hospital. Now she needs to be rechecked. & the vet will not ever see her. What's the use of trusting your vet if they are not available for your pet when they need you the most. & the emergency hospital tells you it's cheaper to take her to your own vet. My fur babies are like my kids I want to know that the doctors are available to their needs in the time of a emergency. Can't said that about Lakeland now.

Lakeland Animal Hospital is one of the best Vets in the area. We have taken our pets there for the past 13 years. The staff is excellent and caring.
Dr Mary Mellies took care of our cat and guided her thru many issues. Last week we had to put our cat to rest after 17 years. We cannot thank Dr. Mellies and her staff for their kindness at this time and how wonderful they handled the situation. We don't often think how hard it is to release a furry loved one and we don't realize that our vets and their staff also feel the loss.
You folks are heroes to us for the skill, dedication and

Best service in town! The entire staff is out of this world. Even with the craziness of COVID-19, the staff are running things like a well-oiled machine!
Thank you everybody for everything! Keep up the amazing work!

I have been bringing my dog and cat here for 10+ years but my parents have brought our family pets here my whole life. When my cat was sick and had to be put down the whole staff had such compassion. When my dog was attacked by another dog a vet and tech stayed late on a Friday to care for my fur baby. They are AAHA approved meaning they need to pass an inspection and meet certain standards. I can trust them and am happy that such a wonderful animal hospital is in McHenry.

I trust their doctors completely and the staff is always friendly. I've been a client for over 10 years and I can't believe the negative reviews! If you completely miss your appt time, then show up close to closing and they can't fit you in, that's on you, not them. Then the other one, angry that they did tests and his puppy only had gas? Obviously you thought it was sick enough to take it in, and they were concerned enough to run tests. So you're angry you spent money on tests and it turned out to be less serious? Be grateful! Drs Dunn, Billig, Spatz are all aces and

We've been bringing our now 11 year old "super senior" dog here for several years and they have always done an excellent job taking care of her. She's been there for things as minor as nail grinds all the way to x-rays, dental cleaning with anesthesia and even laser therapy. She's been seen by all of the doctors and they all are extremely knowledgeable and are truly caring and compassionate! They go out of their way to be extra gentle with her (she's had back surgery and is generally more fragile in her old age) and give her lots of pets and reassurances when she's in for any visits. I really appreciate

I had given Lakeland the highest praise that I could. Today, I thought my appointment was at 540 it was scheduled according to them at 520. They turned away a sick dog. I initially was very impressed with the facility and the team of people working up front, and its unfortunate that now, my sick dog will stay sick until I can find another vet. They said we close at 6 and Dr. Spatz needs a full 40 minutes. So is the issue you can't stay 10 minutes later to assist a client and her sick dog? It would have took 10 minutes to look at Bella's rash and at least give me something to ease her

We've taken our dogs and cats to them for 10+ years and are very happy with their service. They understand that we consider our pets to be an important part of our lives and our family and they care for them, accordingly.
They are friendly, professional, punctual, attentive and compassionate.
We would give them a "6" if we could.

I used to go to Wonder Lake Vet and made the switch to Lakeland about 2 years ago. Best decision ever, they are very attentive to my dog and take the time to talk and explain things. Also - the one time I had to take my pup there for health issues they tried alternate options before just doing x-rays and costing me a bunch of money.

Stay away from this place!!! They are only in it for the money, not the love of your pet! They double book meaning your wait is ridiculous, want to perform every test on your pet, for a cost of course and spend minimal time with you so they can move on to the next appointment. These lose a lot of customers because they can't afford this place!!

I'm a big fan of Lakeland, as are my pups!
We've been going here for the last 2.5 years, and have been in more frequently than just animal visits due to allergies and unfortunate accidents.
The staff has always been very pleasant and I've noticed that the customer service has improved significantly, though as I said it has always been pleasant. The girls up front are always kind and warm on the phone and even when we go in. They are always helpful and if they don't know an answer I am always transferred directly to the doctor.
I don't believe, as another yelper

Took my puppy to vet because she was vomitting and lethargic. $45 for an office visit and then they took her in the back and didnt let me back there. I was told they wanted x-rays for $120 and bloodwork for another $250. Then they wanted to keep her for observation and who knows how much because they couldnt tell me the cost. So I got x-rays and she has GAS. What a joke, I would avoid this place like the plague

This is a wonderful place!!!!!!
After not having such a good experiance with different clinic I decided on trying Lakeland Hospital.
What a nice surprise!
This place is highly proffesional.
The reception area is very helpful and nice. You don't feel rushed at all. Just the opposite. ( My dog had an accident by the reception area ) As I was very emmbarased the employees took quick care of this and on the top made me feel comfortable.
The doctor himself is another story. What impressed me the most was that when he walked to the room he went down on his knees to get to my dog's level
