If you are a lower-48, U.S.-based hunter who has decided to give Alaska a go and see what trophies you can bring home, you're in luck. When you go hunting in Africa - or anywhere else in the world - you need to be able to import your hunting trophies safely back into the United S.

This site is dedicated to assisting our Hunters successfully import their trophies. Whether you are a seasoned hunter or about to go on your first hunt, you may have questions about the importing of your trophy. It is often overlooked that everything from everyday personal items you purchased from a retail store to your latest hunting trophy, a Customs Broker likely handled the entry with Customs and Border Protection and any other federal agency that may be involved.

What is the best "first thing" I can do to start the process? Make sure that all documents relating to your hunt indicate your Full Legal Name and Address. The complete name and address, including country, of the exporter and importer must be used on all documents. If you hold a U.S. FWS Import permit for Leopard or Bontebok the Export Permit from overseas must match the name on your import permit.
