Matthew D. Skipper is the managing partner of Skipper Law, LLC, a civil litigation firm located in Crofton, Maryland. Prior to founding, Skipper Law, Mr. Skipper worked as an associate at Trunell Law, LLC. At Trunnell Law, Matt founded the firm's homeowners' association/condominium practice group, a team dedicated to the representation of homeowners in claims against HOAs and condos.

Judge Green joined Skipper Law after leaving the bench in July of 2019. He brings to Skipper Law unsurpassed experience as a jurist and attorney. By serving as the Civil Coordinating Judge for the Circuit Court for Prince George's County from 2010 to 2017, Judge Green presided over more civil trials than any other judge in the Seventh Judicial Circuit in the past decade.

I met Matt Skipper and his associate recently and we started with a basic one hour consult. in that time he packed a lot of info on how cases like mine could expect to play out and we discussed several different strategies. He encouraged me to pursue the least litigious path if we could what we wanted and he encouraged me to go back to take the first shot at negotiating with the HOA's lawyer and board members. it all got worked out pretty much exactly how we wanted it. i would highly recommend working with matt. Matthew Skipper, (Skipper Law Firm) house the best Homeowner/Condo Association and Personal Injury attorneys in the DMV! As a formal Legal Assistant who has worked in a lot of different practice areas, I have never worked for any personal injury or consumer protection attorneys. Skipper Law provides first class legal service. They performed excellent background research on my case, assembled all of the relevant facts and Mr. Skipper presented logical and convincing arguments in both District and Circuit court hearings. The defendant was represented in Circuit Court by two law firms but Skipper Law presentations prevailed and the jury convicted the defendant on the two main charges.

I purchased a new SF home and we discovered that we had a water leak in the basement. Matt Skipper was able to help me win my claim against seller for not disclosing this as a "latent defect." Matt was very effective at gathering information and giving me sound advice on how to proceed, yet not pressuring me to drag the fight too long. We were able to settle at a very reasonable spot. He is not your typical lawyer, and has very high moral character, honesty, and integrity. I had water damage in my investment condo which the HOA refused to cover. Matt Skipper explained the Maryland law regarding HOAs responsibilities. I left Mr. Skipper's office feeling confidence that we will prevail over the HOA. After several months of back and forth with the HOA's lawyer, Mr. Skipper was able to secure a settlement from the HOA on my behalf which includes loss of rental income.
The pricing was fair and each bill was clearly itemized. Mr. Skipper is very honest and reasonable. I highly recommend Skipper Law, LLC.
