John graduated from the MATC Funeral Service program in 1977. He and his wife, Kari have 3 daughters. Katie Hirt, a High School teacher in New York City. Katie and her husband John Hirt have 3 children, Harrison, Corrina, and Elyse. Karen Gauerke is daughter number two and is a licensed funeral director at Krueger Family Funeral Home.

I had 2 family members that had trust accounts previously set up with Krueger's funeral home in Tomahawk, even though one was in Virginia at the time of death and the other in Rhinelander. They accommodated and made all arrangements from pick-ups to cemetery markings. And their care of the deceased for viewing purposes, was phenomenal! 10 stars! I had nothing to compare it to until recently, when another family member passed, with a trust account elsewhere that left us bewildered, lost, and disappointed.
