A family-owned funeral home is the owner's family name and personal integrity that are on the line. An independent funeral home's loyalty is to your family, rather than corporate shareholders. Mike & Heidi are dedicated to have the best service available for each and every individual. We hope the information that we have put together in this web site is helpful to you.

We understand that this information is helpful but might not answer every question, so please feel free to contact us with any further questions. You can call us at (320) 594-2242 or email us directly at itenfuneralhome@gmail.com. Julie (Forbregd) Stern is a native of rural Osakis and Todd County.
Services
Mike and Heidi are active in the community: Browerville City Council, Lions Club, and the Browerville School Board. They are dedicated in being part of the community. The funeral home is also a member of the Minnesota Funeral Director's Association, National Funeral Directors Association and supporters of Children's Grief Connection, a camp that helps to provide children with encouragement and support during their time of grief.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
At Iten Funeral Home, we want to make arrangements simple for you. We offer a large variety of containers and traditional caskets designed to meet your personal needs but we'll be happy to go over them with you and answer any questions you may have. If you are looking for something in particular, please let us know.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.

They were so helpful during the planning of my dad's funeral. They took care of so many details that I had to deal with on my own for my mom's funeral with another funeral home.
