Texas Port Recycling is a wholly owned venture of Cincinnati-based, The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ), one of USA's largest scrap metal companies. Texas Port Recycling was formed in February of 2006 when DJJ purchased the business and assets of Northwest Recycling.
Services
We buy non-ferrous and ferrous household scrap, industrial scrap, and end-of-life vehicles at competitive prices. We make it easy for you to "go green" with fast and friendly service across Texas. From common household items to outdated machinery, we guarantee payment on time, every time. Our dispatch teams manage scrap collection and pickup services.
Asbestos or Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM)- applies to both fibrous and solid materials. Any Scrap Containing Refrigerants (CFC or HCFC) unless the facility has agreed to recover the refrigerants. Corrosive Materials - highly acidic or caustic materials (battery acid, caustic soda, etc.). Liquids or Scrap Containing Free Flowing Liquids - fuels, antifreeze, oils, hydraulic fluid, paints.
If you need containers for scrap collection and pickup, our experienced team of dispatchers are here to help. Logistics to transportation, we'll arrange for reliable and efficient scrap shipment from your facility to one of our recycling plants. MyScrapInfo is our easy to use supplier portal. It allows you to track your tickets, payments, containers and documents.

The staff was courteous and professional. The drop off area is clean so you don't have to worry about your tires getting punctured like other recycling centers in the neighborhood. Also, they pay top dollar. Simply stated, they are the best.

First time here and will be the last time! You have 12 people sitting around looking at you unload all your items. Every other scrap yard I went to they will happily come to help you!

Don't waste your time going here. They pay less for metals than anyone in Houston. If you take in heavy junk metal, they insist it must be clean. You're better off taking non-ferrous metals to Gulf Coast Scrap, and heavy metals to C&D scrap. The only reason they get one star is because you can't give them negative stars.
