I DEFINITELY recommend this place. Passing through the area to get home. I read about this place on Yelp and thought we would give it a try. What a wonderful restaurant. The waitress was on top of her game. She told us about the specials. And we both ordered the salmon. I had garlic and butter and my husband had the black and blue salmon. What a huge piece of fish nicely grilled, skinless and delicious. We both ordered mashed potatoes with gravy; they were nice and hot. It came with a side and we ordered the salad. We hardly waited for anything. The waitress checked on us a few times but

Delicious food, great prices, and awesome staff. We are from out of state and just passing through on our way home, and my in-laws, who live in Granger, decided to meet us in Angola for breakfast to sneak in a quick visit. The staff were so friendly and helpful to them, particularly when we ended up an hour behind schedule. We hope to be back this way soon and will absolutely stop here again. Thank you!

Great food! Friendly, fast service! Affordable prices! Amazing fries! Packed with locals on a Saturday morning, this diner serves generous portions of comfort food by a staff that thoroughly enjoys working together. The French Dip was served on a bakery-fresh roll and piled high with juicy, flavorful beef. The Patty Melt was topped with sweet onions grilled to perfection and served on thick slices of buttered Texas toast. The bowl of fresh, crisp, French fries was more than enough to feed several people, The Village Kitchen is definitely worth driving miles out of your way to visit.

Food is delicious, but the staff is rude. I think all the COVID restrictions are having an effect on the staff's curtesy and patience. Having someone yelling at your daughter is disappointing. Better to wait until the COVID madness is over. At least there are other options in town with good humor and a better sense of the ridiculous. Be well.

Stopped here after a day of hiking and swimming at Pokegon State Park. My husband and I both got the fish basket and I'm so glad we did! The fish basket came with 4 perfectly battered pieces of fish and a ton of French fries too!
Great value for what you get! We'll come back next time we're in the area!

My husband and I wanted to try something different today so we thought we would give this place a try. We stood at the door for 10 minutes while 3 employees walked past us and didn't even acknowledge us but did the people in front of us and behind us. We ended up leaving after the same person had passed us twice. I don't normally post negative reviews because I have worked in customer service my entire work career so I completely sympathize that sometimes you have off days and of course they were busy however no one said anything to us. Honestly it would have just been nice to have a

Before VK had to close due to the virus we ordered take out and got the fish dinners. We previously had been there quite a few times for breakfast (and we'll certainly be back to try the Prime Rib when you reopen). I have allergies x10 so I don't eat out often, but this is our favorite place for breakfast.. hot, fast, and they 'get it' when I say I can't have certain foods..very accommodating. The two fish dinners/specials were cooked just right.. not all breading either., lots of fish.. the fries were hot and not greasy. Sometimes you just don't know how it's

7 stars, LARGER building is needed as it is really that good!!! Seating is limited but not as cramped as a Bob Evans but the value for the dollar doubles most places.
They had a picture up years ago, not sure if it is still there of Brooke Shields the movie star who ate there while traveling through the area.

The largest morning man crew this reviewer has ever seen. Bedecked in camo and plaid the locals feast on standard breakfast fare. Wait staff is efficient and friendly, coffee flows continuously, and the check arrives with the food.
Got an omelette, hash brown potatoes and bacon. Enjoy the man crew early in the am.

The staff is friendly and jovial. The food was home cooked style. Huge pancakes, eggs and hash browns were done to order. Coffee refills were constant. Breakfast for 2 was 15 bucks!
Popular with locals, there was a rotating group that kept several large tables full. Every few minutes you'd hear "Mornin' Ed" and the like. The cool part is, being out of towners, we were not made to feel as outsiders.
