Services
Flamingo Homecare is a locally owned and operated non-medical in-home caregiving agency founded in 2008. It serves the geographic area of Central Florida. It is managed by the husband and wife team of Bud and Sheila Hollowell, with coordinating services furnished by a variety of homecare professionals and experts, a staff of devoted and well-trained caregivers, and a fussy cat named Tweet.
Whether it is conversation and companionship, such as having someone to share a meal and review the day or doing physical work, like getting out the holiday decorations, sharing time with someone makes anyone healthier and happier. We recognize that each person's situation is unique. That is why we offer a cost-free initial in-home consultation that considers the overall everyday homecare needs of each of our clients.
Flamingo Homecare employs only thoroughly screened professionally credentialed caregivers selected through a rigorous process that exceeds the State of Florida's legally required Level II FBI Background Check. Our caregivers are subject to 4 additional types of clearances that aim to reveal a broader base of other lesser difficulties, such as misdemeanors, driving violations, or even civil problems such as complaints by landlords.
I am recovering from a broken hip. I also caretaker for my 91 year old husband who has COPD. Because I spend a great deal of time taking care of him I was not able to do things for myself or even around the house. I am blessed to have found Flamingo Homecare. Sheila made registering so smooth and provided faces of the staff from which to choose.
Flamingo Homecare caregivers are called private duty sitters. Private duty sitters are caregivers hired to work with one client, or a couple living in the same home, when the client can no longer remain unsupervised for lengthy periods of time. These include clients at risk from confusion, memory problems, limited mobility or disorientation.

Flamingo Homecare is taking great care of my father for eleven hours every day. The care he is receiving from them is amazing. I work for flamingo home Care and it is a great place to work, the owner and boss treats you with respect she's very easy to work for and she will do her best to give you the time off that you asked for and make sure that you have them most up-to-date info on the client you're set to take care of and she makes sure your covered when your shift is done and she takes very good care of her clients and her employees flamingo home health is a great place to be working at.

This place is a HORRIBLE place to work. I was hired onto the job as a companion. My first day i was sent to my patients home alone with no training, no list, no help, no background check, no nothing just a quick interview. The last time the owner of this company had talk to this patient was 4 weeks ago she didn’t even know i was coming when i got there. The patient was not walking anymore and was not the condition i was explained to in my interview. After 2 weeks of working here i was exposed to COVID 19 letting the owner know as i should she told me to go into my patients home and to not talk

Flamingo homecare has been providing get service to my mom in her time of need. they were quick to respond, through in getting the right caregivers in the home to make my mother feel truly cared for but more important in comfortable. All of the workers are kind, compassionate, and respectful to the entire families needs and feelings. The most important thing is that all of the workers are so encouraging to my mother that her health is dramatically improved and there is never enough words to express my graditude.
