Services
We are so good that we are often hired by other web companies to provide coding when things get a little bit "@#!" even for them! The primary purpose of Pickwick Manufacturing Services' website is to convey the wide range of our capabilities; both the actual products (from metal cabinetry to rock-crushers) and the degree of service (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain Management) we offer.
Tools for online and remote communication are becoming more and more necessary, even without the sudden, current need for "social distancing" and remote operations. One excellent tool for remote team communication is Slack, which is the tool that we use internally at FireSpike. Slack not only has a large arsenal of pre-made tools to use for productivity, it allows for easy integration with other systems.
Of timely importance in 2018 is the updating of "old" PHP standards to the new PHP 7.x standards. PHP has advanced continuously since its creation, and has had a number of operations that were deprecated starting with version 7. These changes were not a critical issue as long as PHP 5.6 was supported, but the support for that version-even after being extended several months-will be ending at the end of 2018.
Social Media pages need regular maintenance and updates. This includes message responses and comment replies as well as, regular posts with appropriate images, text, links and hashtags. But don't forget regular updates to the information about your business! Changes to hours, services, special events and closings are just to name a few.

Most recently we had a project where a client came to us with a WP site many versions (read: years) out of date. FireSpike first created an archive then went through all templates, plugins, and directories to identify possible security concerns. After that, both the theme and WP were updated and tested (on the front and back) to make sure everything was looking solid. This project was all done locally so the client never experienced a moment of downtime as we went through the
