If you are willing to work hard *as a professional* at the job in which you are placed, Philly Temps and Perms will be a great fit. I interviewed and was hired for a week-long convention position which paid exceptionally well. We used an online app to check in each day and to record our hours. I received payment within two weeks. Afterwards, I was contacted numerous times for other work.
I found Christine to be sincere and empathetic however, she owns the business and it's her reputation on the line so she's not interested in people who won't go the extra mile.

The team at Philly Temps is absolutely outstanding. Within one day of contacting them with my resume they had me in their office for an interview, and gave me a list of potential clients that I had the choice of working for given my past work history and skillset. They've always paid on-time and worked with me whenever I've had a problem getting into their office for anything extraneous like additional paperwork, or to pick up my W-2 later in the evenings. Philly temps is the best ! They are clear and to the point which Is hard to find with many agency's . The staff is amazing and they ACTUALLY HELP. By that I mean they set you up with a job you would actually like and fits your needs not just any position . I also enjoy that they employ a diversity of people. I have met some amazing people while working with Philly temps .

I've been with Philly Temps for 2.5 years now and I have nothing but good things to say. As a full-time, self-employed musician I often need some extra income to fill in the gaps. I wasn't able hold down a full time day job with my erratic playing and touring schedule. Philly Temps was the perfect fit. They are very understanding of my situation and my priorities. They will work around my playing schedule to get me the work I need. They really go above and beyond to accommodate their employees. One guy ruined the my whole experience with the company. I had a great experience with the other ladies. I was told to check in every week to let them know that I was still available for work. I checked in every week since the day I signed up for their service. I called on 3/16 to check in and I was informed by the guy I think is named John that I haven't called since 2/22, I tried to inform him that was not correct and he basically called me a liar because it is not in the notes. I asked to speak to the manager and she basically told me there is nothing she can do it is in the past now. I

I got hired with Philly Temps over the summer and was only presented with three work assignments, one per month. They had more job postings on their website but nothing new came up for the whole summer. I do not think they have a lot of assignments but use those to attract potential employees. Philly Temps offers placement in administrative settings and catering. I was placed within 1 week for my first catering assignment. I love Philly Temps because you can work as much or as little as you want. It is perfect for college students or a parent like myself who has to work around your partner's schedule. These companies are high quality in exquisite places with friendly personnel. I have never encountered any problems while working at any of these companies.

I will admit I was a little wary at first, since I have never gone through a temp agency before, but I was quickly put at ease. The Philly Temps team was extremely responsive and helpful. This isn't a factory. It's a small office, and there are actual people there with names and faces who will sit down and talk about your needs, interests and professional background. Their staffing agents were always available and genuinely committed to finding something that would fit my personality. Philly Temps was the first job I got after completing my undergrad. My first assignment was the move in of students, it was a great experience, the day was long and the work was hard but I truly had a great time. Soon after that assignment I began working conventions and catering. The experience working a wide range of events relative to academia, community, social, hospitality, and much more was the best part.
The staff at Philly temps are very friendly and honest. They have always done a great job preparing the employees for events, and informing us on what the event might expect.

I found out about Philly Temps rather unexpectedly--while walking down Walnut St. one afternoon, i saw a message written in sidewalk chalk on pavement in front of their office. Since i needed a job at the time, i i called their number and ended up moving Drexel students into their dorms for two long, tiring days that somehow managed to be enjoyable enough that I was excited to work another event with them, this time as a stand-by registration typist for an event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (which is where most of my experience with them has been).

I was in a weird spot with my graduate degree and wanted a part-time job without committing long term to a company. This was a viable option. The application process was a little lengthy. It made sense to me on one level - you need to test people's typing skills if they are going to be typing. On the other hand - I am getting my doctorate....it should be obvious I can type! When I was in college I went to Philly Temps for as-needed work. I worked in their Administrative, Convention and Event divisions. My experience was great and, to be honest, exceeded my expectations! Philly Temps found me temporary work during the summer to make ends meet while I was finishing up my Master's degree. They found me a position pretty quickly and one that almost had me contemplate a career change!

This company really and truly does not care about you. There are other agencies in the city, look to those for help. Philly Temps is run extremely poorly, and the internal staff is extremely rude and unprofessional.
The other reviews saying they just shun you after a while is completely true. If you rub them the wrong way you'll be cut off completely but without any notice, and instead they'll just ignore you. Very disappointing experience.

Horrible...they say they can help you find at least short term employment, but in all honesty, they don't have enough jobs coming in for everyone. I was here in may, called every week, nothing. by October I had given up on them and started applying for jobs again. They are rude and could care less. I was able to get employment without their help. Not trustworthy or helpful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I laughed out loud when I saw the 1.5 star rating of Philly Temps as of this writing. I am not surprised in the least! These people are ignorant, rude, inefficient and genuinely do not care about you. All you are to them is dollar signs and when you try to do anything to help your own situation, they will toss you away. Please DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY. You will regret it.

My partner had a graphic design gig lined up with Philly Temps, and when the client stopped communicating with my partner, the agency did also. Repeatedly he attempted to let Philly Temps know that the client was not in touch with him anymore, even though he had put about 40 hours of work into the project. Philly Temps refused to return phone calls, never paid for the work he did, and the client got a free, nearly finished product. Want a trustworthy temp company? Avoid Philly Temps.

The people here are nice (from what I remember) but they're full of it. I registered here nearly a year ago. Based on positive reviews I thought they'd be able to find me work, especially since they sent me out on an interview in less than a week. That job didn't pan out and I haven't heard a peep from them since, even though I email them every week to tell them I'm available. Despite the fact that they were never able to get me a job, I actually liked this place. They were all very nice and they got me a couple of interviews that seemed really awesome. They were never able to close the deal though, which sucks. I would still recommend them to people looking for a temp agency.
