At Woodward's Tae Kwon Do Academy, we offer a variety of Martial Arts and self-defense classes for children and adults that vary in difficult from beginners to competition level. We have different classes depending on age and experience which designed to bring out the best in students of all ages. Services
The Little Kickers program at Woodward's Tae Kwon Do Academy is designed to introduce young children to TaeKwonDo. This class focuses on developing coordination and motor skills building up confidence and precision. Basic mental skills will also be taught to your child. A foundation for respect and the Tenets of TaeKwonDo will also be introduced.
At Woodward's Tae Kwon Do Academy, we offer a variety of classes and events to keep our students engaged. If competing interests you, we offer a variety of martial arts competitions including: point sparring, Olympic TaeKwonDo sparring, board breaking, and forms. We are number #50. Wear your white uniform and comfortable shoes.
A. We train students in TaeKwonDo which combines strong kicking and striking skills. We also teach a combination of take-downs, joint locks, submission holds, and pressure points to complete an awesome self-defense arsenal. A. Our training regiment will work on strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, and, speed.

Woodward's is absolutely amazing! My daughter was very shy and nervous, the receptionist, Ms Awesome, helped ease my (then) 4 year old out to the mat and we absolutely fell in love with the dojo and everyone in it! Ms Woodward is such an understanding and patient human! My daughter's confidence sky rocketed and she looked forward to every class for almost 4 years!

Both my daughter and I go to classes here. They have a great deal for both to try out and make sure its a right fit for us, plus there's no pressure to continue lessons if it wasn't.
Classes are currently twice a week, daughter's kinderkicks is a blast to watch. They work with the kids without expecting perfection. They understand kids are kids, and its been great watching mine go from spinning and goofing off to paying attention and doing her best. Plus they have fun during class that parents sometimes get to join in on.
Adult classes are relaxed, you'll work hard, but you'll still have fun

I studied here for 3 years and still think of it often. I still keep in touch with many of the students that I trained with and Master Woodward. It has a good feeling of family. They are close knit with the community. I use to volunteer to be the guy in the suit for the women's self defense classes. Mrs Woodward kicks really hard, even in the suit. This is one of those places and groups of people that I will remember my entire life.

I started my 5 year old here a couple of months ago and it has been great for him. He was pretty wild and had a difficult time listening but he has shown so much improvement since starting -- he is focusing more and more, and is proud of everything he has learned and is always proud to show off his belt. The instructors are excellent and great with kids! I'm hoping to take a class myself in the near future
