The Gerson realty team made my application process very smooth, if I had any questions (and there were many) I would call and Shelby would help me out every time. Every other realty team I’ve dealt with would never answer the phone or return my phone calls. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with a team that actually responds and has your best interest at heart!

I rented for 4 months from Gerson, this company has been one of the worst management companies I have ever dealt with. They are very unprofessional, they lie and steal. I moved into a house that wasn’t even ready to be moved in, sinks were not installed, knobs were installed while I was living there, they came back to paint the inside when it was already painted with my furniture inside, they left messes after every construction crew that came in, they never picked up after themselves, I paid to have blinds installed because they were to cheap to install them, then I left them behind, cleaned

They are good to respond to problems that arise. Sandy follows up regularly and addresses issues very well. The repair men that come are always polite and address concerns. She polite and good at what she does. No one likes to have to call the property management with problems but she makes it easier to deal with.

This Company has taken over a complex on Jentilly Lane in Tempe, AZ and has collected HOA fee's for years and has done nothing and for 3 years I call to speak to Mike Gerson and he is never in the office. This complex is suffering so bad I do not know what else to do except call an Attorney now. I am paying for nothing but trash pick up. The building is overrun with termite dwellings, the parking lot was supposed to be fixed and new lines and numbers over 3 years ago, I had Cancer so I could not do anything for years but this is the bottom line I am ready to fight this fight, they are not

We've been renting from Gerson for over 8 years. They are responsive and have professional and caring employees such as Sandy that will go the extra mile when you need maintenance or have an issue. She arranged for our A/C repair when it broke down in 103 degree weather. She stayed on top of it and managed to get the repair done for us on the same day. She followed up and kept us updated. Everyone at this office has always been helpful and professional, seems they care about their renters!

I am so happy with Gerson Realty. This is my first rental through a property management company. Sandy has been great. The App is so easy to use when paying rent. When my dryer switch did not work, they immediately replaced the dryer for me. When my AC quit and it was 112 degrees out, they made sure it was fixed immediately .I love my little home . My entire experience with this company has been amazing.

Gerson agreed to let us out of our lease early contingent on us being out of the apartment and we would pay until someone rented it. We have a email showing we would not be charged for leaving early. We cleaned and fixed so much when we were there we returned the property in better condition then we got it. They even called and thanked us for the great condition and leaving it move in ready. And then when it comes to getting our security deposit back, they charged us for "damage & cleaning". We have friends that live next door and no one went in to do any extra cleaning, the " damage" they charged

As a renter I have never been happier with a management company. We have rented through a few other companies and this is the first company that treated me like a human being with feelings.
They are always very quick to respond to any questions or concerns we have and any maintenance requests are typically handled in less than 24 hours which IMO is VERY impressive and beyond appreciated!

I tried online to get my billing statement changed from paper to email with little success. I contacted Gerson Realty and was fortunate to connect with SHELBY PARENT. Shelby solved my request very efficiently. She stayed on top of my issues and was very punctual. She was very personable and concerned with my problem. Ignore Tempe Trespass form.
On June 8, 2020 , a resident called the police because of a homeless guy sleeping close to a particular's unit window. The police said that there is no Trespass form in their file confirming that the place is private property, so the police could not do anything. Eventually, homeless guy slept under a particular unit's window, and that unit's window was broken.
On July 18, 2020, an owner mentioned Tempe Trespass form during the HOA board meeting. Mike Gerson ignored and did not care.

I’ve never had an issue with any of the staff. There was some delay getting a repair done but that’s because the homeowner wasn’t wanting to pay for it. Sandy in maintenance is amazing to deal with. She has great follow up and is always willing to help. She’s been my go-to person from day one (I probably contact her for more than I should - but she really is amazing). Gerson is lucky to have her.

We rented a house for a year with Gerson Realty and had a very positive experience. We did have to put in a few maintenance calls and they were very responsive and things were always resolved quickly. Keenan has been great during our move-out process! He's very friendly and professional. We had a bad experience with our last rental company so it has been great working with Keenan!

I have had an issue with an HOA company before this one. This past year I have received multiple late payment notices after the previous two years never having problems. My payments have always been early or on time at the latest. Reason I know is because my checks are set up on Auto-Pay with my bank. I have had to provide reference numbers multiple times for them to do the research on their end. Then they follow up 24 hours later indicating that there was an error on their end. Truly an inconvenience fora consumer to have to do the leg work for errors made on the providers side. Hope to not have

Owner doesn't care. Read the reviews. They do the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM of what they are required to do, if they even get around to it. I've been at a rental property managed by Gerson and it is embarrassing the condition of the property. The owner Mike is rude and makes it very clear he doesn't care about your complaint, going as far as to literally tell you that. I notified them that the maintenance man spilled my oil pan all over the car port, asked them to clean it up. 2 days later the oil pan is missing and no clean up. Called Erin in the office, she told me he threw it away

They do not care about their tenants. I am a single mom living in the urban core of tempe where I am making just above the amount that would qualify me for food stamps and affordable housing benefits. Now they want to charge me an 8% increase during covid-19 where my job security is low. That should be inhumane, that should be illegal, but yes we live in AZ where it is profits over people. The urban core is experiencing the highest population who are struggling to make ends meet, now with this rent increase I will be one of them.

Gee, this was my HOA in Tempe. We never had meetings. Never got any news. The pool was dirty most of the time. Even the board of health closed it at one time. The property looked awful. I was ashamed. Yet we paid a sum that gave others paying the same really beautiful properties. Twice I caught the gardeners/yard workers blowing all the dirt/debris/leaves into the neighboring complex. They noted I was videoing them and quickly pulled their bandannas up even further on their faces and raced off. Someone really needs to perform an audit of the Gerson HOAs.

Worst property management company I have ever worked with. I am an owner and they're action towards anything that we bring to them is never taken care of. The person that manages this place his name is Mike and never ever fixes anything for anyone. They're Google reviews are well are horrific and we are trying on the HOA board to get him removed from property Management from taking care of our facility. If you can stay away from these people.

I am a townhome owner for almost 14 yrs that Gerson Realty manages. Since the beginning I have had mixed feelings about Mike Gerson and the HOA. The come off rude and uninviting to homeowners who only want to improve their own portion of the property or to have something fixed that the HOA needs to do. No wonder no one ever goes to an HOA meeting unless that absolutely have to as it is dreadful! Again I have had good and bad interactions with this HOA who come off bothered, rude from the get go. I have been trying to contact Mike for going on 3 weeks now. I have sent emails and left messages, but all I get is that he's out of the office and they don't know when he'll be in. Meanwhile, I have a renting neighbor with 3 large dogs barking/howling all day and night, keeping my kids awake. I'm not sure what our HOA dues are paying for or why there are rules in place because they clearly mean nothing.

These guy's are not really property managers. They clearly make their money elsewhere and don't really run an inspiring business. They manage my 30-some-odd condo complex and I only have one unit. They don't respond, don't keep good records, and don't really do much upkeep of the common area. I wish there was a way to motivate them, but they just don't give a hoot, so I'm stuck. Ugh!
If you have a choice, do yourself a favor and do extensive due diligence before you sign up with Gerson. They may be right for you, but reading other reviews, it' clear

They are not forthright and told us things would be taken care of prior to move in that weren't. Nothing terrible but disappointing. Unresponsive, not very helpful when it comes to appliance repairs. Our maintenance service is awful. non existent really and takes months from first work order, calling to check, asking online, asking in person, to actually getting anyone over to actually just look at something. I have been leasing from Gerson Realty for 2 years now. They have been nothing but rude. I generally speak with Keenan, who is not always prompt in returning my phone calls, but will return them within a few days. I had the displeasure of speaking with Mike Gerson, who was nothing but rude on the phone. When I would ask him a question, he would not give me a complete answer. When asking him the question again because he did not give an answer he rudely stated,"You've already asked that three times, I don't know what your looking for."

I rented with them for 3 years, and they always promptly fixed everything (including a new garbage disposal and new washer dryer combo!), and I got ALL of my deposit back (except $45 for forgetting to clean out the oven) although I did make sure to really clean my apartment before I left).
I would rent with them again if I hadn't just bought a house! They are one of the best landlords I have had (although they do make you clean the carpets professionally before you move out)...
