McNary's Furniture and Restoration began back in 1985 in Dave's parent's home garage under the name of The Refinishing Shop. In the beginning Dave's focus was on kitchen cabinet refinishing and antique furniture restoration. Since then he has been inspired by the natural beauty of wood and the craftsmanship of the vintage Antiques that he restores.
In 1987 Dave moved The Refinishing Shop into the current building in Historic Old Town Overland Park and has been servicing the Kansas City metro area with a wide range of products and services ever since. Around 1990 he added a retail store front to The Refinishing Shop and became McNary's Furniture and Restoration.

Every custom piece of furniture crafted, antique restored, and wood product milled has our passion and craftsmanship at its core. Our shop and showroom are nestled in Historic Downtown Overland Park, Kansas. Our showroom and retail store features examples of our Kansas City custom wood furniture, shelving, cabinets, mantels, tables, as well as a wide range of other furniture and home goods for sale.
We have a wood wall paneling option for every interior and taste, from sleek and contemporary to warm and rustic. Every plank of wood wall paneling is sustainably sourced from dismantled structures and inspected one plank at a time to ensure the highest level of quality. These products can be selected unfinished or pre-finished to fit the needs of your specific project.
A beautiful blend of hardwoods salvaged from barns here in the Midwest. The rustic face features original mill marks, nail holes, and an unmistakable aged patina that can only be achieved over decades. This product is perfect for walls and ceilings and is milled on the inch for a seamless installation.
Authentic reclaimed barn wood paneling for wood accent walls and ceilings has color tones raging from light silver to a deep charcoal. These boards have stood the test of time and developed their natural color tones soaking up the elements and oxidizing to create the perfect blend of weathered grey tones.
At home in every environment. Our aged barnwood pine has a unique brushed surface texture to enhance the warmth and aged patina while removing any original surface paint. The natural color tones of the wood carry a unique aged patina and aged appearance. When ordering wood paneling, it's suggested to order an additional 10%-12% additional to your needed square footage.

I asked Dave to stain and finish the piece to match my current furniture. He did an excellent job.
