I wish I would have seen these reviews before hiring this firm. It appears this firm has a tendency to over-inflate their charges. They used up my $5k retainer in less than 6 weeks! I was fortunate to get out quickly--fired them immediately after the attorney showed up to pretrial unprepared (no pretrial memo) for the judge, GAL, opposing counsel or me (the client) to review prior to the court date. They do not fight for their clients--only rack up charges. I had to repeatedly question all charges. When I met with both Howard and Doug, they tried to sneak in charges for 2 attorneys in the room

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this law firm. Received a bad judgment in a divorce case, spoke to Attorney Doug Ehrman. Ehrman agreed that it was a bad judgement and stated that he could take care of that and get it reversed, no problem. Over the next couple of months he kept tacking on legal fees and billing hours for issues unrelated to the bad judgement. I contacted him at one point and told him to stop billing me for things unrelated to the judgement. In the meantime he failed to file a motion to reconsider the judgement in a timely manner and the motion was rejected based on

Run!!! Run away!
Howard does not care about you! Only cares about money. He purposely drew out my case to two years and $17,000!!! $17,000+.. I was 27 at the time of the case, and I was NEVER EVEN MARRIED and my case IS STILL GOING TWO YEARS LATER.
When I hired Howard he sent SIX different lawyers to every different court date, all of which knew nothing about my case. (Except Mendez, but that is a different story) Howard never showed up once for case...... Until...When I wanted to finally just settle he tried withdrawing from my case ON A COURT DATE!!!!! No warning, didnt tell me why, No communication
