My senior mom picked up dinner this evening. They overcharged her for a Burrito La Bamba and a separate charge for the side of rice that should've come with the meal. Their menu on their website shows the whole meal should've cost $8.99, before tax. They charged her $10 for the burrito and $2.25 for the rice. If they did that to her, who else are they overcharging and double charging? And the shredded chicken in the burrito was tasteless and dry...definitely not worth the price.

The people working in the establishment were friendly. Moreover, they provided us no silverware or napkins, as we ordered to go.
The carne asada was tough basically like the meat served 15 years in San Quentin, Ca. Asked for corn tortillas but got flour!! Asked for a mango margarita but got a regular margarita . The refried beans were burnt, no sour cream was provided however the chips, salsa and queso was good.

The service here is very polite and helpful. I have eaten here twice in the past 3 months. The first time I ordered chips/queso and crazy rice. The food is tasty, but the portions are very small. I ordered chicken and shrimp crazy rice and there was barely any food on the plate. A very thin layer of rice and just a small bit of meats. The second visit I and someone I was with ordered the same meal and a quesadilla. Like I mentioned before, the food taste very well, the portions are just very small. I would understand if the meal wasn't priced at what it is for the small portion. Despite the

When this place first opened, it was fantastic. The food quality, service and prices were exceptional. However, in the last year or so, conditions have declined. My usual selection, chicken fajitas, has gone from outstanding to mediocre. The onions and peppers are burnt not caramelized and the chicken is dry. Even the chips seem not to be as fresh. I am so disappointed because this was my favorite restaurant in Ruston and I recommended to everyone. I can't do that anymore. I hope that this restaurant returns to its roots.

Food was MEDIOCRE. And that's a stretch. chips, salsa, and queso were the only good things at this restaurant. I asked for a steak quesadilla. "Steak quesadilla with just steak and cheese" and they brought me a fajita chicken meat quesadilla with American cheese. This was greasy and the grease was overwhelming me and the taste was not good. The La Bamba burrito was okay if you like lime flavor. This isn't even the worst part. They had my whole order wrong and I was actually hungry so i ordered what i get at El Paso. Just a side order of fajita steak. The waitress asked

I really enjoyed it. I was looking for a quick lunch, and I saw this pop up on yelp. They seated me pretty fast, and then gave me a huge basket of chips and a pourable salsa. I probably ate the whole thing by myself. It was really good. I ordered the beef enchiladas, it came with rice and refried beans. I liked it so much, I ordered another order to go, for later!

Ok. So it's been open a few years now. Food is good and fairly priced. Chips and salsa are good. Menu is hard to read because of the paper. Service is slow. And I just waited 20 minutes to get the check and then my change. I had to go find the manager after my family left and I was still waiting on the check. I'm tired of the wait. If you want good food and don't mind iffy service then go.

Probably the best Mexican food in town. This is the "reincarnation" of what was Old Mexico (which was shut down for health reasons). The new La Bamba seems like it's always clean. Food is standard, but tastes better than El Jarrito. Probably the best queso in town. Relatively small, but has a lot of seating that is spaced well.
Really the only negative against it is the location. It's in the main strip mall in town, but it's right in the middle. The parking lot can be confusing.

I love Mexican food, and I crave it almost daily. So it breaks my heart to say that my favorite Mexican restaurant in town has continuously been letting me down.
If you do not care about receiving good service, then ignore this post. The food is normally pretty good, even though recently it has not been as good. My poor rating is mainly due to the poor service. The past 5 times I have been, I have given the servers the benefit of the doubt. I have officially had enough though. Waiters will constantly walk by and not even pay the slightest attention to us, the customers. Our glasses will remain
