The short answer is to prevent blindness. Much of the sensory information going to the brain is visual. Eye diseases and vision disorders may cause disability, pain, decreased productivity, and even loss of sight. Early detection and treatment may minimize and even prevent the damage. There is a difference between a vision screening and a comprehensive eye exam.
Assessing the health of children's eyes and vision is especially important at Taylor Eye Care. One in four children has a vision problem that may interfere with learning and development. This is why our younger patients receive special attention. Children should have their first examination between 6-12 months of age.

The team at TEC took very good care of me! They worked hard to check on my insurance. I was even able to get an appointment the same day! Dr Taylor is very friendly & didn’t push me to get glasses just to try to make a buck. When I did go to choose a frame, the lady knew what shapes would work good with my face & even let me take home a number of frames so I could get family feedback! I would definitely recommend TEC!
