Dormans started in 1979 by John and Norma Dorman in Altoona Pa. Currently owned by their sons John and Mike the business sees nothing but success in the future. The store has grown over the years and is now welcoming a 3rd generation of Dormans to become involved. We offer a full line of diamonds, gemstones, gold and silver jewelry.

My dad passed away this week and I wanted to wear my grandmothers ring to his funeral. Dormans sized it and was amazing helping me be able to do this in such short notice. This is what family businesses are about. Helping others even when it may not be simple or easy. My dad always had a tradition of wearing my grandparents jewelry at special events. Now I can when we celebrate his life. If you don’t have a jewelry store you go to this is the place. Thank you again to Jenny who walked out to my car and was able to make this happen.

Please think twice about leaving any jewelry at Dormans. Left a 60 year old religious medal with a broken necklace for them to replace the necklace. Well both necklace and medal have never been found. Took 2 months to get a replacement necklace and medal. The owner tried to blame us and say we didn’t leave it or we dropped it somewhere. Well… no-we had the number from the bag HE put the broken necklace and medal in and that bag has never been found. He was not very compassionate about losing such a sentimental item at all. 😡The 2 women that work there were helpful and felt

Recently had a custom engagement ring made from Dorman's and the finished product had more than exceeded my expectations. All I knew was the cut of the diamond and size of the ring, yet they were able to guide… me in how large of a main stone and work with my wishes of using my mom's engagement ring for the gold band and channel diamonds. the product turned out beautiful. I love it but more importantly, my fiancè loves it :)
