Dyer Land Title was founded in 1961 by Charles T. Dennis, Sr., Latta Richards, R.A. Ashley, Jr. and Barrett Ashley. Operations began with personnel tirelessly microfilming records from the local registrar's office. In 1968, Milton Rice joined Dyer Land Title, which was located on the third floor of the old Baird-Brewer Hospital Building.
Title insurance is an insurance policy designed to eliminate the risks and prevent losses that may be caused by defects in title. Find out more at our Title Insurance page. A title search is the processes of reviewing the history of a piece of property in order to determine relevant interests in the property or regulations the property may be subject to.
Buying and selling real estate often involves the transfer of large sums of money. In such a situation, it is important that an impartial third-party handle the transfer of funds from one party to another. By using an impartial third-party, the parties can safely engage in a real estate transaction and eliminate risks and ensure all necessary conditions of a sale are met before property and money changes hands.
At Dyer Land Title we provide you with real estate closing services in a warm and welcoming environment with experienced staff to walk you through the process. A Real Estate Closing is the final step in executing a real estate transaction. The closing date is set during negotiations and is usually set several weeks after an offer is formally accepted.

I started a title search in April and did not get "any" documents, and I say any because what I did get was not what I paid $300 for, until the end of June! Messages were left, additional information was requested, and it was all withheld because the title extractor was friends with the involved parties.

I made it with only 20 min to spare. I must've looked like a scarecrow from the 11 hours of air and car travel. Then, because I didn't have
