Wrote a previous review, but also noticed that several people bring up dry eyes and needing a special procedure to correct that, much like an operation... It seems like Dr. Sumner and his clinic tell that to everybody! I went in for a peripheral eye test, and the first thing they told me was I needed an operation to correct my dry eyes. Well I have heard of terrible results with that and immediately said no thank you, but resented the doctor pushing me to have the work done. I guess it involves blocking your tear ducks or some thing, but "no thank you... I'll deal with what God gave me

Allen, Barb, and the entire staff provided outstanding customer service! I had my eye exam only nine days ago and my glasses arrived already. My eye exam went flawlessly and the doctor took the time to explain everything in great detail to include the exam of the interior of my eyes. Pretty phenomenal set up. I took a while looking at glasses, lenses and accessories etc. Allen did a great job of explaining all the different options to me and what my insurance paid for and my deductible. Barbara is friendly and very knowledgeable about all parts of the practice, Dr. Sumner is a very professional and knew exactly what I needed to improve my vision issues. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Sumner and his awesome team for several years now. We love Dr. Sumner! He's very detailed and thorough and has a great sense of humor! The staff are friendly and professional. The office is nice with a surprisingly large selection of frames. Conveniently located. in the heart of Cherry Creek. Regarding the care and treatment, Dr. Sumner has the latest and greatest technology, which gives better information without dilation and less time looking at eye charts. I have been a patient for over a year now and have always been impressed. Making the appointment was easy and I got on right away both times. The staff is very courteous and professional. The location is very convenient with great parking. They are on time and efficient. Dr Sumner is very pleasant, answers all questions, and is very precise. I am so glad i found this place!! I have Keratoconus which isn't fun, and Dr. Sumner did a great job trying to figure out my poor eyes. Not to mention the front desk staff is amazing!! Honestly so cheery and nice, it's refreshing to actually walk in the door.
Alan was the best when it came to helping me choose glasses for my face. So many other places don't even help you, but Alan did and made sure to keep the cost as reasonable as possible. Again, most places want you to spend, spend, spend! Alan was so awesome about it and even took off a $35 charge I wasn't expecting

Dr. Sumner and Allen have done a great job with re-branding the practice since last year, and their hard work is really paying off. They have made vast improvements to the practice appearance, offer some of the best lens technologies that cannot be found in retail chains, and are very professional in their business. Dr. Sumner is a fine optometrist, but the remainder of the staff has been consistently unhelpful and at times rude. I called last week to see about purchasing a pair of prescription sunglasses.
