The CharterCARE Health Partners Foundation was established in 2010 as part of CharterCARE Health Partners, the umbrella organization for St. Joseph Health Center, Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, and Roger Williams Medical Center. In June of 2014, CharterCARE Health Partners was purchased by Prospect Medical Holdings, a California based for-profit medical services company.

As a result, CharterCARE Foundation became a separate 501 nonprofit organization serving the broader needs of the RI Community. The Foundation changed its name to CharterCARE Foundation and moved to its current location in February of 2014 and named Paula Iacono, former Development Officer for CharterCARE Health Partners, as Executive Director.
Services
A. Scholarship applications are rated based on GPA, financial need, and individual circumstances. Weight is also given to aptitude for the profession, as evidenced by the essay, community involvement, persona recommendations testimonials by professionals or counselors (optional) or professional designations currently held or being pursued (i.e.
CharterCARE Foundation gratefully accepts all donations to help us continue our work to provide better healthcare for all Rhode Islanders. Previous donations to Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, Roger Williams Medical Center, St. Joseph Health Services, and Elmhurst Extended Care are no longer tax deductible, as these entities are now part of Prospect Medical Holdings, a for-profit corporation.
The Chartercare Foundation is located at 7 Waterman Avenue, North Providence, RI. Hours are Monday thru Friday 9 -4:30 pm.
